Are you sure being in the legal profession aligns with your personal values ?;)

Let me have a think about that, and then send you a bill for the work.

Hi everyone,

If you managed to register your details on the form, then you're on the list. If you didn't, then you aren't.

We will be showing a video announcement on the Accurascale YouTube channel on Monday evening for all of you who cannot make it. Link is below!

Cheers!

Fran

Just thinking - IF it is a steam release, and IF it’s an RPSI loco, then authentic sound files won’t be an issue.
IF it’s the 800 class, where would the sound files come from?

LMS Royal Scot prob close enough - three cylinder loco with similar cylinder dimensions

So the day has arrived and, surprisingly, I did manage to sleep last night.

So what are our final predictions?  Mine are as follows:

I believe that we are at last about to see the IRM steam release, going by Fan's use of the word 'special', so although I would dearly love it to be a GNR loco, ideally an S class, I'm leaning more towards the GSR 800s, going by Fran's use of the word 'ambitious'.  If so then my wallet will be safe for a while as these magnificent locomotives are out of my area of interest.

But I have been wrong with every previous prediction and they could be about to surprise us in some way........?

Whatever happens, it'll be sensational!

Possibly a train pack? Similar to the old Hornby Irish pack with a 040 in the flying snail, a coal wagon, van and tanker, but updated with a new tooled 90, Bulied Open, H and Tanker. I can dream on but it would be pretty special and ambitious!

But id be confident enough to put money on a steamer. The question is big mainline steam or a smaller shunter?

As I am apparently now a Cork railway modeller after acquiring Bantry, I'm gonna say the obligatory Bandon Tank

Patrick, like you, if it's an "800" I'll put my money into an even better holiday.

DJD Senior received his confirmation email today, so he'll be there.

"Ambitious" means that it's an 800 Class (please take my money and kidneys), or a collaboration with Murphy Models and Oxford Rail to bring a train pack containing an 071 loco and Mk3 coaches to the market, or the "ambitious" part is the RPSI loco sitting outside the event on a trailer.

Either way, Senior will be there!

Fran just to clarify, I hope I have this right….

The in-person event (lucky folks) starts at 7:00pm…..the actual reveal is at 8:00pm and the video of this follows at 9:00pm?

Or have I totally misunderstood and the video is going out live with the reveal?

I’m working this evening so trying to work out how to have the feed playing without anyone else seeing me drool….

Man alive thought I missed this!!

Looking a the comments I doubt a C Class would warrant this type of Launch really especially with Railway Historian Royalty there.  :)

Something RPSI I expect, hopefully not a black tank engine. (90 excluded!!)

looking forward to the launch, Hopefully I wont fall asleep on the couch and miss it.

will an influencer live stream it I wonder.

I have very little knowledge on Irish steam engines but the No85 Merlin would be nice. Just while I mention Merlin, what would be the class name for it?

Merlin is a GNRi V class loco.
