Noel
Was the site down for a few hours this morning? Or it could just have been local to me due to eircom's DNS servers getting dizzy for a while.
Warbonnet
The site was indeed down for a period this morning but Boskonay sorted it all out. All back To normal now!

Broithe
I never noticed anything - and, if any changes are happening, is there any chance of something better than 'normality'...?
Noel
It was? It was off from this end from about 07:30 until sometime after 12:00, but as I said it could have been a local name server issue on parts of the eircom network, so other members may have had full access. aclass007
I tried logging on about 15 minutes ago (13:15) and the site was down. But, everything seems fine now
BosKonay
It was?Looks like an Eircom issue - the server and site have been up throughout, and relatively normal traffic levels...

Noel
Yes it seems an eircom issue. I can't access it for the past while using eircom, but fine using a hotspot off vodafone.
enniscorthyman
I couldn't log in around 13.00, I persumed a new main spring in the server again:o
Noel
Strange thing though is on the eircom connection all other web sites were working fine when IRM was timing out.
Jimbo325ci
Couldn't access it for the last 20 mins or so....
billyboy
There's a worldwide problem with DNS so some sites are timing out. Fixed now I'm told but servers worldwide are catching up.
BosKonay
All should be stable from now on (fingers crossed!)
Broithe
Having smugly said that I'd had no problem at all, it vanished for me at 2200 hours last night, and was still gone at midnight - back now, obviously.

It was definitely not a local problem yesterday. Had to email BK to let him know. Working well today though

Noel
I get that a lot and have to relog in. Only on my iPhone when it's using the mobile template. There is a problem with cookie retention. It never remembers I've logged in, but fine on Mac or iPad.
burnthebox
As far as I'm concerned it's not fussy, as it dos'nt like either my Ipad or my PC, & not at the same time Another point is this text box is nearly bigger than the whole tread,
Broithe
I'm using a desktop PC with Chrome via Vista and I have no real problems on this site, if that is of any interest to the techy boys.
BosKonay
Interesting... in theory the site will only 'forget' you if you change IP address.... perhaps some of you are on mobile operators or ISP's that change IP's about a little too often... I've 'move to vBulletin 5 suite' on my todo for a while now, will try to set aside some time and sheckels to make it happen

The later makes more sense for mobile internet. Other catches are subdomain names and the cookie store (e.g. mobile.domain.com v http://www.domain.com v domain.com all different cookies)
