Eamonn, what paint did you use on the curtain side cement wagons?

Tom, just for historical reference, the MIR Price list on Wrenneire's thread refers to Revel No51 Blue for Curtains sides, and Pallet Cement Blue (no other manufacturer of number quoted). Would be interesting if you have any in the toolbox to see how they match up. I've seen Eamonn's Cements in the flesh and they really look they business!

Just finished building the Provincial Wagons CIE Bullied open wagon.

Nice little kit and very enjoyable to build.

The running gear underneath is a little tricky, just take your time.A nice kit for anyone who would like to try a resin kit for the first time.I used a bit of scrap brass for the things that stop the door from fouling the running gear. Not sure if they look a bit thin,I can use slightly larger scrap brass if needed.

I used grey primer on the body and then found out that the tins of grey paint that I had stored are useless so I put on some rust wash and a bit of weathering powder.

Sorry about lighting in photos as I had to use flash on phone due to poor light in shed.

I brought my provincial open Bullied wagon with SSM 30t van down to Gerry's Ballybeg last evening for its first run.

230 along with IFM open Bullied belong to Gerry.I think the looks very nice and both wagons run very well.

Superb scenes and photos. The C class looks stunning. Love the small train - brings back fond memories of small loose coupled stock movements out west in early 70s.

Was it awkward to fit the lights?

The lights are directional and involve 3 mm white LEDs wired to the soundchip: Blue wire to each positive via a 1K resistor; White wire to negative of forward LED and Yellow wire to negative of reverse LED. There is some unintended light spill into the cabin but this nicely highlights the driver figure added at both ends!
