  1. Weird. It worked when I posted it. How odd...
  2. Of for those who dont do Facebook or who cant access due to non membership of the group.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AyPjDzqIq4
  3. Super stuff Noel, rolling stock is my cup of tea too. Love the BR steam/diesel transition era, especially when it involves former LMS and LNER motive power.
  4. you may get stuck paying the VAT here if you bring them in from the States. Maybe try giving Wrenneire a shout? Seamus Graham might have some left too.
  5. BR in the 1980s. NIR had a 70 class railcar decked out in similar livery.
  6. Correct on all scores!
  7. Please see our rules We are happy to allow people to advertise here but transactions are your own business. We would ask members to sort any grievances outside the public areas of the site (pm's are understandable but when using Paypal you do use a persons email address etc). Payment portals such as Paypal will offer the buyer a route to protection as Dave points out.
  8. empty shell I believe.
  9. The correct answer is Laminate.
  10. Balls you're right Rich, the original posting was about DeDeitrich stock and I got mixed up. I'll go back asleep! D&M's product is still nice mind you.
  11. Agreed, really enjoyed it even though as many know my interest in the Irish scene is somewhat on the periphery. Good modelling is good modelling though and can be enjoyed no matter what the subject matter is. Well done team!
  12. If you have deep pockets then D&M will be your friend. Superb stock mind you!
  13. Another great Flickr album belongs to Ernie's Rail Archive - So many gems from the 1950's to the 90's. I love his British stuff too personally.
  14. Correct Kevin, the N2s never ran in Ireland. The Great Northern Railway Ireland were inspired by the British one when it came to liveries early on but then adopted their own identity with the famous pale blue. The British GNR was amalgamated with other companies to form the LNER in 1923. As far as I know both Great Northerns were not linked. To complicate it further there was a Great Northern in the USA too. Their GM locos wore a livery not too dissimilar to what we became used to here! http://www.gngoat.org/annual_report_51.jpg
  15. Hi Kevin. There was a Great Northern Railway in the UK too, pre LNER. Could this be where you're getting mixed up?
  16. I don't care what they get up to off the field Shem!
  17. Flickr is a bit of a goldmine when it comes to old pics, maybe we should post links to good pics or albums we find on our travels and post them on this thread? To start the ball rolling, a wee collection I found from around 1979. And for our bus friends Enjoy!
  18. After seeing what Popeye managed to do with the Worsley Works kit I'd look at that option if I wanted one personally. Stunning isn't even a worthy term to describe it!
  19. Arsenal desperately need a defensive midfielder, a better goalscorer and Ramsey to stay fit. Don't get the fawning over United either. They have a a good manager and Herrera is an upgrade but their defence as it stands is even worse than last season. Between Chelsea and City for me and it'll come down whose strikers can bang in the most. Both will be rock solid defensively like last season. Arsenal and my beloved LFC fighting for 3rd and 4th (provided Sturridge stays fit, otherwise LFC will finish outside the Champions League places. Should be a great season though!
  20. Nice one Shem, must hop down there for a few pics again soon.
  21. Heljan will be bringing out a model of her in the next year or so. A must buy for me having lived over there for a couple of years. Lovely loco and enjoyed seeing her on a special on the Met.
  22. Fairly rare. Based on...
  23. Can you stick up the price you're looking for please? Forum rules state that you must list an asking price. Thank you.
  24. Would love to see a pic her up close Driver 301, that'd be great! Is she still used for anything? It does seem to move around at least?
  25. It's an Alstom Shunter and fairly old (60s?). Still based up in Red Cow depot and can be seen from time to time from the bridge over the Naas road at the back of the depot. Since been given a new lick of paint (same livery as your pics). After that I don't know too much about it. Lovely wee thing though, would love a closer look at her. Must try and get a pic of her.
