  1. The April issue of The Railway Magazine carries a piece about dualling the Limerick-Limerick Junction section, with the intention of reducing Dublin-Limerick journey times by a sizeable amount. This ties with the proposal for a regular Cork-Limerick train service, proposed by those involved with improving the road between Cork and Limerick. Interesting! Stephen
  2. It’s all very impressive. Keep up the good work. Stephen
  3. A dead but still intact railway is a strange beast. There’s an eariness about it captured in these pictures. Stephen
  4. Yes, she does look good in grey. Stephen
  5. An interesting one would be Claremorris South, a double ended terminus. Stephen
  6. What a unique way to fund your animal charity. Stephen
  7. The 121’s come in all sorts of colours, amazing. Stephen
  8. This forum is a veritable mine of information. Long may Mayner and JHB keep churning out their answers. Stephen
  9. I saw Charwelton in its original guise at, I believe, Wells many years ago. It was impressive then, as it is now. Stephen
  10. There’s still a covered van on the website I’ve got open. Stephen
  11. I suspect there will be a good many in awe of what you’re achieving. You should get the finished bodies scanned in order to produce printed versions for sale. Not everyone will have so many spare parts lying around. Stephen Very helpful. Stephen
  12. Wonderful stuff. Stephen
  13. Hope all goes well. Hospitals do like their early starts. Stephen

  15. The problem we find with Amazon is that, so very often, an item you want to purchase is said to eligible for free p&p but, when it comes to paying, a big fee is added. As a result, we tend to avoid the big A as much as possible. Stephen
  16. A little while ago I produced a plan incorporating all the main elements of the latter day Waterford North, namely three through roads plus two bays. Because it wasn’t an accurate copy of the prototype, I called it Port Lairge. Stephen
  17. What a fascinating YouTube video, albeit the sad process of track lifting. There is more information here about Killala station than I have seen anywhere before. Stephen
  18. A very good representation of a large station in a relatively small space. Has anyone done something similar for Waterford North, either its early, complex layout or the smaller, simpler version? Stephen
  19. You must be doing something right compared to the guys from RMweb. In particular, they seemed to have zero idea about customer service and couldn’t deal with criticism. Stephen
  20. My personal favourite would have been a line from Dungarvan to Youghal, cutting half an hour off the journey time of the Rosslare Express. Stephen
  21. I particularly liked the photos of Wellington Bridge. What a waste just lying there doing nothing. If only the powers that be hadn’t made growing sugar beet a no no. Stephen
  22. Lovely stuff, Leslie. Stephen
