popeye
That colour looks good, try to vary the colour a bit so some are lighter and darker so they won't all look the same.
David Holman
That's going to be a very impressive rake.

RobertRoche
Tonight I'm at mobile modelling putting some decals on the beet wagons - tedious, might get 4 done tonight. I need to stock up on a few things for the box.
Glenderg
Deadly! Really good light to work from, even if it's tedious decal stuff. As an aside, Lidl/Aldi do an A3 cutting mat every now and again, 8 Bobs or thereabout, if you ever start running out of cutting surface.. Eoin Thanks The main modelling set up is at home, but with the addition of a few essentials, LED strip and some inspiration I might be able to get a bit more done with this mini set up. @leslie10646 might be interested to see the above video! 4
JasonB
Robbie I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the beets progress from start to finish, and the video of them running caps it all off very nicely.Looking forward to future projects from your workbench

RobertRoche
The dapol pocket wagons do have several differences from the Irish ones. I'll be altering the ends using plasticard, moving the brake wheels and altering some molded details. RobertRoche
I am converting some flat top autoballasters to round top in preparation for painted into IÉ yellow. Some filing and filling and they should make it past the two foot rule.
David Holman
Looks good to me, plus there is a lot of very nice 'gingerbread' detail on these models. How things have changed over the last few years - and still improving too.
JasonB
Very tidy work. They'll easily pass the two foot rule.

RobertRoche
First coat of yellow today. Another coat will hopefully bring it a bit closer to the Bachmann model. Edited July 22, 2018 by RobertRoche

RobertRoche
I was experimenting with printing my own decals this weekend using Mr Decal Paper. What are the options for making decals with white text on a clear background? The Wexford Bus has white text on the windows. If I was doing the speed van again, I would use decals for the chevrons and blue & yellow panels.
popeye
Very nice. I have tried these and they are fine but my printer is crap. The speed van would look better with two morons inside.
jhb171achill
The speed van would look better being driven at speed itself - over the Cliffs of Moher! 2
RobertRoche
Starting on the decals from SSM. Bachmann offering in the back, repaint in the front. 8
Railer
Wow, amazing work. One would be push to tell them apart. To this day I'm stall amazed they sold so well, only managed to get one pack before they were all gone.
