tonto.irl
Well, I've been asked by some that I should post up a workbench on here for quite some time. So here goes
tonto.irl
Let's throw the cat amongst the pigeons... I decided to experiment with the old Lima 201 before I wreck one of the nice new ones. After doing some research into the colours and livery this is the result xTx Edited June 27, 2015 by tonto.irl

tonto.irl
Recently I was asked to make up two of Studio Scale Models MK3 EUV kits (A06). Hats off to Weshty, they are good kits. Here they are finished in Iarnód Éireann RAL2011 No’s 7401 & 7404. xTx Edited June 27, 2015 by tonto.irl
Frank_the_ piper
The 201 looks really great. And so do the Mk3 gen vans - stunning! And even better is the fact that they are on their way to become part of my collection of irish railway models. Thank you Tony!

Mayner
Excellent work as always. For a moment I thought you were throwing the cat among the pigeons by repainting one your own scratchbuilt 201s or Marks Models resin version from the days Irish rtr diesels were just a gleam in Paddy Murphys eye. wexfordloco10
Brilliant paint work well done the only thought I have is why did they paint such a dark colour in the centre of the original IMHO I think it spoils the livery David Wexford MRC

enniscorthyman
Took me ages just to build one 42 flat and that was glued together.I can imagine it takes a lot longer to solder. Great job.
Kirley
Excellent painting skills on the 201, doing templates for it must have been a nightmare. Class finish on the Gen Vans.

tonto.irl
Back to my BR One of my favourite locos is the class 50 in NSE. Here's 50028 "Tiger" repainted into revised NSE with the light blue: It wouldn't be right if it wasnt manky dirty: Next for the airbrush was 50027 "Lion". This was easier as I only had to repaint the dark blue. xTx __________________ http://www.modelrailways.ie
