DJ Dangerous
Sorry, diecasts, but I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycles for the new cabinets. No more fancy glass shelves for you guys.
Galteemore
Fabulous DJ. The A class and Jinty did work Belfast docks at same time in the 50s - nice to see them together again. As you have the only model of an A class in the world (AFAIK), this is a unique assemblage! And what a wierd part of the world for the only A Class in the world to end up! Maybe I'll be able to power up the track by the weekend, if I'm lucky.
DJ Dangerous
Glass shelves definitely working well here for the O Gauge trucks, need to pilfer two more from the diecasts...
DJ Dangerous
And that's enough shuffling and shelving for a few days. Really happy with the O Gauge shelves! 5

DJ Dangerous
Now with the "layout" (I use that term very loosely) clear of everything that has gone into the new IKEA cabinet... Cookham Manor looks on in dismay at the hulking form of a dangerously powerful looking 113 in the distance...
DJ Dangerous
Gave Cookham Manor a run this evening for the first time. Left it a bit late to do it as I wanted to see the firebox glow, but cocked up and left it too late, so the video is crap. Trying to lighten the video at the moment, so here's a teaser photo in the meantime.
DJ Dangerous
Hmmmmm, video uploading after trying to brighten it up, but it's not great... But look at that firebox glow, on DC! DJ Dangerous
Murphy Models no. 187 trundling along this morning. Lighting not great, too bright one side and too dark the other, but I have to skip lunchbreak again today and it'll be dark when I finish work, so had to make do.

DJ Dangerous
So, the lads at Inchicore saw @Westcorkrailway's comments on the 141's and decided to get one of them ship shape and bundled off to Maam Cross. Here we see her arriving with a Garda escort: Our very own @ttc0169 was just behind the Gardai in his Supra: So TTC parked up and the unloading took place: And off went the convoy: 177 was coupled up to the ballast train for some shunting: Once that was complete, she went off to move the staff quarters: My little tribute to the heroes soldiering away at the Connemara Railway! https://irishrailwaymodeller.com/topic/8723-connemara-railway-project Thank you so much! DJ Dangerous
So, back to see if I can get one of the two 40’s at least cut and prepared for assembly. Revising things a little. Was initially thinking of running cabinets along one wall only, and having them finished for summer. Now thinking of doing both walls and being finished a year later. One wall is 6m, with a 95cm entryway, the other is 6,95m. The last unit each end will be 40cm rather than 80cm, as I want 1,2m curves in all four corners.

DJ Dangerous
1 hour ago, StevieB said: I like the cats. Are they orientals/foreigns? Stephen All mixed race, either dumped or unwanted. I only take home the ones who are old, sick, terminally ill, unloveable or unlikely to survive on the streets for whatever reason. Oldest one at the moment is estimated around sixteen. Quite old and weak, needs to be syringe-fed several times per day. 1 hour ago, jhb171achill said: They’re 12” = 1ft scale, DCC ready……. All microchipped, too! DJ Dangerous
Well, I got distracted last night thanks to the excellent second season of Reacher, so my progress was limited to measuring, marking and scoring. Everything is stacked and ready for assembly, but with today being Reyes / Three Kings, I’m not sure that whipping out Drilly McMelterson would be appropriate. In theory, only three of the four lateral panels need to be cut, but cutting them all gives more modular flexibility further down the line. Get it? Down the line?
StevieB
I take my hat off to you, sir, for your services to the felines of the Canaries. We had three Bengals, Lily will be 16 later this year, Bayley was 13 when we lost him to kidney failure two years ago, while Lucas will be 12 later this year. Keano30
What a fantastic collection, it seems a shame not to have the space to run them on a big layout. If you are ever selling any of the loco's or passenger carriages let me know
