  1. It has the potential to provide valuable extra business for the railway, assuming no-one improves the roads, Stephen
  2. I stand corrected. Many thanks. Stephen
  3. There’s a guy selling MM171 on eBay, who says it’s a special done exclusively for Marks Models. Really? Stephen
  4. Wow, looks very impressive. Stephen
  5. I think all postal vans across these islands were the same. It was a security thing. Stephen
  6. Wow is all I can say. Stephen
  7. Wow indeed. All we need now is the turf burner. Stephen
  8. John All looks very good. How does this fit in with the Rank wagon and six plank open you recently announced? Are you planning a range of both rtr and kit wagons? Stephen
  9. Andy A lovely piece of modelling. I hope we may see it at the Cheltenham show sometime in the future. I very much enjoyed Valencia Harbour there back in October 2015. Stephen
  10. Wow, what a beaut! Stephen
  11. The footbridge looks so much better lowered to the correct height. Well done. When I did this to my footbridge, I found that you have to be very careful with the plastic latticework when cutting bits off. Also, the surface areas available for sticking the pieces back together are very limited. What colour did you repaint it in? Stephen
  12. I’ve bought from them in the past and they were very good to deal with. Stephen
  13. That was quite a sum the NI government paid for NCC. I wonder what that would be today and what NIR is worth by way of comparison. Stephen
  14. Am I right in thinking that the UTA had to buy the NCC from the railway executive? Stephen
  15. Very nice and to think that Leslie might have this on his radar. Stephen
  16. I always thought the prototype was a very attractive loco, albeit made in quantities of one! Stephen
  17. If 00 Works could be persuaded to make a model of the original SLNCR 0-6-4T, I wonder how many they would sell. It would be nice to think they would go like hot cakes but is that being too optimistic/naive? Stephen
  18. Some more lovely shots from the south Waterford line. If only the direct line between Cork and Waterford had been built rather than the circuitous one via Mallow. Stephen
  19. You could go one step further and incorporate the never built GNR(I) link from Bundoran to Sligo. Failure to build this line was the main reason for the SLNCR. Imagine if you will GNR(I) trains at Sligo/GSR trains at Bundoran. If only I had been quicker off the mark and bought some 00 Works U/UG’s. Stephen
  20. Both of them froze, the first part-way through and the second never got going. Otherwise, excellent. Stephen
  21. They were that bad, then. Stephen
  22. Georgeconna also had one for sale on eBay recently. Stephen
  23. The articles by David Malone in RailModel Digest featured his layout Cliffoney, the might have been MGWR line from Sligo to Bundoran. Sadly, apart from a couple of photos in Modelling Irish Railways, it has never featured in any other magazine, unless someone knows better. Stephen
  24. Do you add brass wheel bearings or are they free running enough without? Stephen
  25. The behind the scenes views of Barrow Street are very impressive. I look forward to seeing moving pictures of the operations. Stephen
