  1. When I looked recently, there were only three retailers in listed on MM’s website who were offering advanced ordering of the class 121, namely Hattons and Antics in the UK and Marks Models in Ireland. No doubt others will in the future. Stephen
  2. Well done, nice to have you back! Stephen
  3. It’s been a long time coming but it will have been worth the wait. Stephen
  4. They all work in slightly different ways but, as long as you get what you’re after, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Stephen
  5. Marks Models in Ireland, plus Hattons and Rails of Sheffield in UK. Stephen
  6. There is nothing stopping you renumbering existing models to provide extra versions. Stephen

    Roy Jackson

Some of you may know this already but Roy Jackson died recently. He was a phenomenal EM gauge modeller, best known for layouts such as High Dyke, Dunwich and, more recently, Retford. There’s more about him on RMweb. Stephen
  8. I don’t believe Roderick Bruce is asking anymore on eBay for the remaining ones unsold, just bringing them to a wider audience. Stephen
  9. Railway preservation doesn’t seem to come easily in Ireland, so we wish them well. Stephen
  10. It’s very nice to see progress. Stephen
  11. Have you tried running anything yet? Don’t forget to post videos when you do. Stephen
  12. Wow. Stephen
  13. The threesome of NIR big GM's has been on there some little while now, so snapped up is probably putting it a bit generously. Stephen
  14. Aren’t there plans for a new station at Waterford on the Rosslare side of the existing one? Stephen
  15. The annual show put on by DEMU, Diesel and Electric Modellers United. Stephne
  16. I came across recently. Does anyone have a photo showing the other side, please? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=gsr+pullman+coaches&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=sinv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjwv7CukpjiAhVQxIUKHVxoATkQ_AUoAnoECAwQAw&biw=1024&bih=666#imgrc=G6U9uJkCWjfkKM Stephen

    CMAT 2040

Some good stuff proposed. Two points to clarify: 1) The electrification would be as per DART in terms of voltage, and 2) The light rail would be as per LUAS in terms of gauge. Stephen
  18. Coming on in leaps and bounds. Stephen
  19. Looking very impressive. Stephen
  20. Interesting. Stephen
  21. The Dean goods was very similar in that it was a simple design that worked very well. They outshone some of the very latest designs during tests undertaken by BR. Even the uptodate versions, J15a and J15b, failed to shine compared to their earlier siblings. Steohen
  22. The 3d printed ballast wagon body is a fair representation of the real thing, save for being too tall. For greater accuracy you need to take a horizontal section out of the body, at a guess something like 4mm. The same is true of the IFM magnesite wagons. I’ll have to do the same to them sometime in the future. Stephen
  23. People must be keen to pay those sorts of prices. Stephen
  24. Definitely looks interesting with track laid. Stephen
