  1. Yup, BELL liner trains between Cork and Waterford were timetabled to run from Limerick Junction to Waterford on the former WLWR main line. Stephen
  2. I’ve never directly answered the question ‘is the glass half full or half empty?’, preferring the engineering answer ‘it’s twice as big as it needs to be’. Stephen
  3. At first I thought this was the real thing, not a model. Artistry and good photography can deceive the eye. Well done. Stephen
  4. Patrick You’ve captured the feel of a country railway in South Waterford, but change a few details and it could be anywhere in these islands. Have you got room to run dolomite trains from Lombardstown and oil and magnesite Trains to/from Cork? Stephen
  5. I find a good representation of the latter day tank wagons is the Dapol tank body from their class B kit mounted on the Dapol 12’ 0” underframe. Stephen
  6. The spray coach was converted from one of the BGSV’s which was originally a BR BSK, whereas the RPSI BGSV started life as a BR BCK. Any chance of a second version of the spray tanks in their original form on 20’ 0” flats? Stephen
  7. I think what you are referring to is the original alignment of the Cork and Youghal Railway, which terminate adjacent to, but at a higher level than, Glanmire Road station, now Kent station. Stephen
  8. Hi As far as I was aware, the only 47’ container flat was the one produced by IFM. Have you managed to source another supply? Stephen
  9. Thanks for that. If you Google Ballyconnell Road and select images, you’ll find some absolutely wonderful photos. Stephen
  10. I’m not quite sure where you mean to see Mick Rawlings handiwork. I saw Ballyconnell Road at Railwells the other year. To be honest, nothing else came close to it for me. Stephen
  11. How very devious, but also practical, to take the track through the side wall of the station where it can’t be seen. Stephem
  12. It has the potential to provide valuable extra business for the railway, assuming no-one improves the roads, Stephen
  13. I stand corrected. Many thanks. Stephen
  14. There’s a guy selling MM171 on eBay, who says it’s a special done exclusively for Marks Models. Really? Stephen
  15. Wow, looks very impressive. Stephen
  16. I think all postal vans across these islands were the same. It was a security thing. Stephen
  17. Wow is all I can say. Stephen
  18. Wow indeed. All we need now is the turf burner. Stephen
  19. John All looks very good. How does this fit in with the Rank wagon and six plank open you recently announced? Are you planning a range of both rtr and kit wagons? Stephen
  20. Andy A lovely piece of modelling. I hope we may see it at the Cheltenham show sometime in the future. I very much enjoyed Valencia Harbour there back in October 2015. Stephen
  21. Wow, what a beaut! Stephen
  22. The footbridge looks so much better lowered to the correct height. Well done. When I did this to my footbridge, I found that you have to be very careful with the plastic latticework when cutting bits off. Also, the surface areas available for sticking the pieces back together are very limited. What colour did you repaint it in? Stephen
  23. I’ve bought from them in the past and they were very good to deal with. Stephen
  24. That was quite a sum the NI government paid for NCC. I wonder what that would be today and what NIR is worth by way of comparison. Stephen
  25. Am I right in thinking that the UTA had to buy the NCC from the railway executive? Stephen
