Inchicore Works 175th Anniversary Open Day

Hi everyone,

We’re getting set up for the Iarnród Éireann 175th anniversary of Inchicore Works open day tomorrow! If you’re lucky enough to bag a golden ticket we will see you along the tour. Having seen some of the exhibits we can assure you it is WELL worth attending!

Not a bad backdrop either…

We will be along side the Model Railway Society of Ireland for the day.

Who else is coming along??

It's the perfect backdrop! Now, that's what you call a proper man cave. I can just imagine having that sitting behind me, while doing a few bits at the workbench. Jasus, Mrs.B would never see me.

Ya, with a nice case full with most of his releases to date.

 

They did unfortunately inform me that the mk3s are not expected till 2023 and no mention of the 201 re run when I asked what's coming out soon.

 

IE even had the full belmond set out on display, however unfortunately behind a barrier.

 

This was a brilliant day out.

I could have well been behind you when you asked Sean! 
 

I asked about the 201s and he said “they are coming out” however upon asking what colour the underframe is going to be, he said “we haven’t got to that’s stage yet”

 

it will be a long few years till we get the 201s

I have to say I really like 213 in that freight livery. Wonder will the paint shop in inchicore take some inspiration and apply it to a 201 . 

On an other nore looks like it was a great day.
