No doubt @jhb171achill will explain what’s up with the livery on this Woolwich:
https://ebay.io/m/b0jq0M

A complete one-off, livery-wise. The one locomotive ever painted like that (and all details appear correct in accuracy terms) specifically for the Cork-Rosslare boat train about 1956.

A very elusive beast too, very camera-shy in this condition indeed, but for a good reason. It only carried the livery for some 18 months before being withdrawn and replaced by diesels.

This seller has just listed a load of the earlier batches of cement bubbles and ballast hoppers.
This in particular may be of interest as it’s a livery not repeated in the recent IRM batch of bubbles - the Irish Cement branding:

4 coaches at a good price for the time being

https://ebay.io/m/uoDJZp

Only €180 for the four, not bad at all!

Murphy Models 071 Class no. 078 for €522 EURO, DCC fitted, from Model-Railway-Emporium:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/278074339785

Added it to my wishlist and received an offer, so they may be open to counter-offers if anybody is interested.

They also have a few Cravens coaches at €87 each, plus a couple of 201’s, and a load of expensive Irish stock - possibly ex Chris Dyer stock if I recall correctly.

Really wide selection of IRM and MM stuff. Also includes this: https://ebay.io/m/yHpK7w

Whilst interesting, it's an awful lot of money for a plastic sign!

It’d want to be 4sqm for that price!

I see Model Railway Emporium has today placed a lot of Silverfox Irish railcars, locos and coaches on eBay.  Part of the Chris Dyer collection presumably.

Cheers

Are Silverfox still doing Irish items, or is Ebay etc the last chance to pick one up?

Yes, I believe so.  Their website lists the Irish items that they offer.

They are also the seller of some of the Silverfox stuff on eBay.

Some repainted Bachmann Mk2 coaches in NIR livery.

I think the colours are too light and vivid - more BR RTC blue/red than NIR midnight blue/maroon.

The forthcoming Accurascale/IRM NIR Mk2s have got the colours right in my opinion.

Cheers

Model Railway Emporium tend to over-expose and over-saturate their photos, so it’s hard to tell whether they’re closer to RTC than NIR.

Chris’s models were usually quite good ln colour - at one stage it was @tonto.irl doing his repaints - so hopefully they’re more maroon than red.

€255 for four is not a bad price, all things considered.

Would agree about the photography being poor, the cherry black Woolwich looked more like GNR blue in their pic of it!
