WRENNEIRE
Quite the opposite Kieran When I picked them up I took pictures but cannot for the life of me find half of them When I moved on my Wrenn collection recently I pulled the house apart and have not gotten it back into any sort of order yet I start to sort it out, then find a loco in a box with a few bits missing, start to look for some parts, find something else that I had forgotten about and next thing its time to peel the spuds and I have got nothing done This retirement gig is hard work men. Warbonnet
I remember them in Telecom Eireann livery too. That would make for a nice model. Think both should have the later grill but that's really nitpicking.
Weshty
Cough! Mine can be adjusted if need be for HO (and will look at TE as well) Great to see a Renault 4 available, I was looking for one in vain a few years ago. WRENNEIRE
A friend asked about some of the Bachmann 57' CIE Coaches I went to my stash and found a couple that I had not cataloged back in '12 Basically Bachmann had produced these coaches as LMS 57' and they owned the moulds etc Murphy had them painted into CIE colours and given them a range of running numbers Bachmann USA then had them produced into their 00651 Irish Railway set, N class loco & 3 57' coaches I think it caused a bit of hassle at the time but nothing he could do about it They also produced 2 additional coaches to enhance the set,74700 , 3rd class coach 1337 & 74701 a Brake 3rd 1088 Premium HO Scale but are in fact OO scale. 74700 74701 00651 The coaches in this set are: 3rd/Brake 1096 All 3rd 1333 1st/3rd 2097 So with the 5 that MM produced through Bachmann this makes a total of 10 of these fine coaches. roxyguy
Hi Dave, always loved this thread. Thanks. I picked up one of those sets a few years ago for 150beans. I thought that was pretty good.
Old Blarney
I have two of these sets, their cost, £45.00 each. Admittedly, this they were purchased about ten years ago? One of the Locomotives is on my home railway as I type this post and is used to pull a thirty wagon Goods Train. Alternatively, it has eight to ten passenger coaches behind her.
