DJ Dangerous Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 Tried just before 2300h and it was painfully slow. Again now at 0230h, so slow that some icons etc don’t even load. 1
Mayner Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 I experienced similar issues accessing both this newsgroup and in accceesing the Accurascale website during the past week, otherwise no problems with internet access here in New Zealand or internationally. 1
Turin60 Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 High noon on the 24th, slow to load on the wrong side of the Irish Sea, but does eventually. John Bruce. 1

All other sites are behaving perfectly normally. And apart from that, a lot of other members seem to be having some trouble on and off as well. Working fine at the moment. Strange. Thanks for the reply 1 2
dropshort105 Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 Phew, as it's the only forum I am on, I thought me auld phone was giving up the ghost 1
Broithe Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 After a few slow days, it's back to normal for me at the moment. But, I have just been reminded that any emails alerting me to an incoming PM on here are being popped into Spam by my Gmail account, despite me always confirming them to be 'Not spam'.

Strange. Same thing has happened to me, but the opposite. About four months ago, my emails alerting me to a notification began going into my spam. Like you, I confirmed it not as spam, but it continued to happen. Then, I stopped getting email notifications completely. For no reason whatsoever, over the last four or five days, I've started receiving email notifications again. Edited December 24, 2025 by JasonB 1
DJ Dangerous Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Forum brutally slow the last few hours. @BosKonay must be winding it down before merging it with RMW! Happy New Year everybody! 1

John-r Posted Thursday at 01:58 Posted Thursday at 01:58 I'm the same still speeding up and slowing down to the extant that I just leave the page , and will add its only this forums page that seems to give trouble, don't know what is causing it, happy New year to you all on the forum. 1

Until yesterday, it had been as fast as usual for a good few days - then it went very slow, to the point of timing out before it connected at all. Now, all is normal again. Well, as normal as it ever is here... 2 1

raven Posted Thursday at 20:35 Posted Thursday at 20:35 Very occasional long load times for me. @BosKonay HAR file attached showing long connection and SSL times for a couple of GET requests within a page but normal behaviour for others - might indicate server resource limits being reached? Page tested was a full reload of /discover. irishrailwaymodeller.com.har 2

I’ve been running extensive testing myself too and it does indeed appear that the underlying physical server hosting us is having issues. I’m currently making arrangements to shift the resources up a gear and move the instance to a more modern and capable server. I’ll update posts when we need to stop the forum for a few hours to facilitate.

BosKonay Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Seems quite solid for me now so keen to hear feedback from those who were seeing slowdown.

Earlier this evening when I tried to log on the whole site seemed to be down completely, with a message saying something to the effect that service would be resumed shortly. I logged on again about an hour ago and it seemed 100% as i9t had been in the past. Maybe there was some sort of glitch in Googlestan that's been sorted out?
