A4mallard Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 It's made of perspex sheet, and spare bits. There's a bit work gone in to her. I do not know the exact scale but it's bigger than G, possibly 1/28. I'm going to start the boggies tomorrow and some final bits of detailing. Anyone with any close up photos of 121/141 boggies I would appreciate it. p.s. I am looking for some detailed plans of Hueston station. I would be very grateful. thanks for the comments regards bren

A4mallard Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Hurricanemk1c, I do a bit everyday but I'm working on a couple of other projects at the same time. I started about 3 weeks ago. Wrenneire, Lovely photos and much appreciated. It's by no means perfect,I hope I captured it. I started on a whim and I have to finish it now. Thanks for the comments lads
DiveController Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Lovely work! Amazing that you're modelling N scale and "Super G"
Weshty Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 That I seriously fine. I thought it was CGI photoshopped onto a workbench initially. The shadowing is very tasty. G class, num num.
jhb171achill Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Wow!! What gauge is it? Didnt realise it was that big....
DiveController Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Wow!! What gauge is it? Didnt realise it was that big.... That's why I called it "Super G":D What a monster
David Holman Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hells bells, did not realise it was large scale. Am even more impressed now. Never ceases to amaze me what is out there. Thesecbig models have such presence. At Ally Pally a couple of years ago the was an American G scale, standard gauge 'depot'. Around 10m long, it was enough for a decent number of box cars, plus a Budd for passenger traffic. Looked fab, ran really well. That was the same year I came REALLY close to G scale three truck Shay. The 121 is superb, well done sir! Am guessing it will be 45mm gauge.?
A4mallard Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) 3 1/2 inch gauge, it's a static model. Still not finished needs handrails,lights,signs and numbers Edited November 13, 2015 by A4mallard
islandbridgejct Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Very nice. I love the weathering. You got the single brake cylinder I see. Now all you need is a set of buffers for it to run into.
RobertRoche Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Not sure how I missed this build but it is amazing, well done!
RedRich Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 A fantastic piece of modelling Bren. I can only imagine the time and effort that went into the build. Rich,
