Kirley Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Great to see you have finally taken the plunge and have tackled the layout at last. Good luck on its development, I’ll be watching out with anticipated interest of what’s to come. Quote

Weshty Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Cheers DesHeljan dooberry in the fridge awaiting shipping Oh be still my beating heart! Nope, all is well. Things progressing tastefully at the mo (i.e. not at a grinding halt). Ammo & 42' test etches being finalised. The 'dergmeister has been very helpful too... Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Before After Baseboard Dave at his best! Each drawer takes 20 Mk 3 coaches 14 drawers 280 storage spaces Happy days! Edited July 27, 2018 by WRENNEIRE Quote
BosKonay Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Definitely going to have to have some of that once I (eventually) get around to my phase 2 fiddle yard!! Quote
irishthump Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Looks the business! All he needs now is some stock to fill them... Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted June 11, 2013 Author Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) And on that note Graham.... Messing around to see whats the best way to store them Coaches on their roofs looks a good option, wheels dont snag and they can be handled by the bogies rather than by their bodies Edited July 27, 2018 by WRENNEIRE Quote
Weshty Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) and they can be handled by the bogies rather than by their bodies Ouch! Sounds like something the heavy gang did with the "likely lads" back in the day.....course you'd be too young to remember that Dave Back on topic, they look like a great idea. I could see a perfect spot for them in SSM Corporate Headquarters..... Edited June 12, 2013 by Weshty Quote
heirflick Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 now thats the best idea i have seen in a long while! nice one wrenn:tumbsup: Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Some rolling stock for Hazelwood, if it ever manages to get built! Some GS stuff: MAEDHBH Presidential Coach : 3rd Class 1887 3rd Class 1334 3rd Class 1901 3rd Brake 136M Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Weedspray: Arrived like this, thick as a plank! But with some D1 help: Nearly forgot this little cracker, I think it has much more character than the Mk 1 version Quote
Warbonnet Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Loving the coaching stock. Are they Bachmann, Dapol or Hornby coaches? Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Presidential is a Baccy 57' LMS jobby, similar to the Irish Bachmann range The rest are Airfix/Dapol 60' composites and a 57'Brake Quote
enniscorthyman Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Lovly stuff, especially like the weed sprays. Quote
Kirley Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Great to see Hazelwood back on the Site and having Maedhbh as you lead photograph was a great introduction to your latest additions. Seeing you are now resting from your strenuous Moderator duties time to get on with that layout. I want to see a video of Maedhbh going round Hazelwood -soon! Quote
RedRich Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 That's a huge transformation on the weedspray set Dave, it looks really good. I have to agree about the older weedspray coach also, I prefer it to the converted GSV van. Having said that it is probably the MK1 van that I will go for myself as it fit's more into the period I will be modelling. Smashing stuff. Rich, Quote
jhb171achill Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 oooooooohhhhhhh!!!!!!! I'm getting 800 fever; can't wait to get mine built! Quote
StevieB Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 I have to agree with the comments about the spray coach. The obvious question is why didn't you opt for the 4w spray wagons to go with this coach instead? Stephen Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 I much prefer the 42' wagons with 2 tankers Stephen And the old jem, its my layout and I'll run what I likes! Quote
StevieB Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Can't say fairer than that. Anyway, the spray coach is a beauty - your handiwork or a third party's? Stephen Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 Handywork is not a word that is often associated with me unfortunately Look closely at the background and the builder will be easily revealed Quote
StevieB Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Page 27 of Glenderg's Projects I presume. Stephen Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 Correct Steve although I think its a further version, Quote
Weshty Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Congrats Dave, wonderful stuff from the Wizard of the the 'hill! Looks really well. Quote
