spudfan Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Jouef. Elaine's Trains - Jouef HDI Made in Ireland CIE diesel loco 1306 2
Horsetan Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Another Cravens standard coach. I bought this one. Not a bargain as such, but cheap compared to an identical one that's being offered for more than double the price.... 2

Gypsum and ballast hoppers, plough vans, fertiliser, spoil and keg bogies. I was hoping there might be some cement bubbles but perhaps that was unrealistic! This is quite a good price for a sound-fitted A class; I was tempted but I have several As already: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267179992632
DJ Dangerous Posted April 26 Posted April 26 25 x 914mm lengths of code 75 OO Gauge track for £80 GBP at Rails of Sheffield.
DJ Dangerous Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Dapol Class 68 on offer at Rails of Sheffield, down to £100 GBP from £180 GBP. Love that TransPenine livery.
DJ Dangerous Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Time to get yourself an O Gauge diesel from Rails of Sheffield!
Mol_PMB Posted May 19 Posted May 19 This has got @Darius43 written all over it. A grotty 1980s kit for an imaginary diesel loco. https://ebay.us/m/o2DlTT 1
Darius43 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 “Superdeltic” eh? Looks like a cross between a Class 55 and a Western. In any event it’s a Q Kit so I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole. Cheers Darius 1

They were hard work and I was never happy with them, though they did run and look more like the prototype than a Lima class 33! Keep up the good work with the MTK heavy metal. I now wish I hadn't binned my MTK Irish coach kits; I think they would have been salvageable with my present skills even if I made a mess of them 25 years ago. 1
Darius43 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 BR Class 51 Super Deltic - never built. Seeing this has got me thinking about that kit… Cheers Darius 1 1

It was warped when I got it, and it warped more before I got it properly made up. The only advice I was given was "put it in warm water and straighten it"! No more Q Kits for me! 1

DJ Dangerous Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Rails of Sheffield have a big Bachmann group sale - O Gauge Class 15’s going for peanuts, OO Gauge locos, stock, buildings and scenery on offer, even N Gauge stuff! The Class 15’s are the winners in my book.

It's still in its box, in one of the cupboards of shame. I do like them, but hard to justify buying one because I really have no need for an O gauge class 15 in my current plans. It would just go in the same cupboard as the kit one.

Despite positive feedback online, they must not be selling well.

There was an earlier batch a few years back, and I think this EFE lot are an attempt to squeeze a bit more return out of the tooling. But a Class 15 is a rather niche loco, short-lived and geographically limited, and I suspect most people who wanted one got theirs in the first batch. They ran in the area where I was born and brought up, but had all been withdrawn long before I was born.
