Yes Stephen' date='I removed the pantograph and used some plasticard to cover over that roof area Looking at it again the 350 could also be used as a doner for a four car 8600 DART unit with a rebuilt cab and a straight repaint only needed to complete, Thanks lads, I've spent the evening adding the air brake pipes to 086SA and 088,they really improve what is already an impressive loco....thank you Paddy Murphy... 088 at the loco depot, 086SA shares the holding siding with 160+156 1977 original livery on 088 beside 1984 livery on 086 with 077 which is in the latest slate grey livery. Eamonn I hope to have a video of the locos in action over the weekend... Quote

Hows the internal lighting?[/quote'] Yes Stephen the gangways can be removed easily along with the windscreen wipers-(which I was able to use again on the 29000),then it's only a matter of removing the glazing and cutting away the gangway and reshaping the front with some milliput, The internal lighting is a bit dim-not as good as the De Dietrich's.... Thanks very much Stephen' date=' Another favourite 1980s train was the CIE liner/mail, Again thanks to Paddy Murphy's recent release I was able to recreate this earlier, The make up of this train was an 071 class loco,two TPOs a BR steam heating van and at the rear a few 62'9" air braked wagons, Here I have loco 086SA,2176,2177 TPOs,SHV 3189-and six 62'9" wagons-one with some BELL containers on board, Here are a few photos-with a video up later.... The CIE liner/mail. Three BELL containers on wagon 30501. The liner/mail passes the bogie cement. Quote

ttc0169 Posted April 2, 2013 Author Posted April 2, 2013 Evening gents, After attending a very successful Wexford model rail exhibition,well done Donal, I came away with locos 073 and 080,which again are very impressive models, After fitting a DCC chip into them and detailing the front of the locos,it was time to put them to work, 080 is seen here ex works with an empty timber train while a suitably weathered 073 works the bogie bulk cement and finally 086 operated light engine and 088 is the carriage pilot loco. 080 073 080 and 088 080,086 and 088. Wagon 30505 carrying a BELL 40' and a 20' container. Quote

Here is new liveried 92-60-011077-2 working at slow speed with generator wagon 52001 discharging ballast under the watchful eye of the permanent way team....with DTS tamper 751 waiting to crossover to tamp and line the newly ballasted track, The HOBS train discharging ballast on the up fast line hauled by 077 Tamper 751 waits for the call to tamp and line the track. 077 and the HOBS. HOBS generator van 52001 at work. The chief civil engineer is suitably impressed with the operation of the HOBS train.... Quote
