I had a visitor from the sunny southeast this afternoon when enniscorthyman brought his two axle ballast train with sound fitted loco 190 along to assist with some Perway duties alongside my current HOBS train with sound fitted 011077,

An excellent and enjoyable eveing was had operating the various trains,

Eamonns sound fitted A39 also made an appearance hauling an ITG Cravens special-both locos sounding and looking great....

Both ballast trains are side by side awaiting clearance into the Perway possessions.

A busy scene on Tara junction-190 awaits clearance to discharge ballast while 077 has discharged some of its ballast and is propelling back to load again.

A39 works over the up line as maintenece work is taking place on the down line

A39 operates through Tara junction station at a reduced speed of 25mph.

God,jaw dropping stuff having paid first visit to tara junction, such

an incredible collection of irish locos and buses.i hope to get some

video tomorrow so hopefully we can show the sound on a39 to good

effect.Neol was impressed with the sound off a39,and as the a39

Sound project is not released yet,I will try to give people a chance

to hear it for themselves if it can be arranged.

Great shots again of the layout Noel,a great comparison between the old and new style ballast wagons,I really like the look of the old style wagons, they look similar to the old GNR type hoppers. The layout has a different story to tell with each picture, its a credit to you and I am sure running sessions could wile away many hours.Great stuff

Excellent stuff Noel. It's fantastic to see the different era's modelled as I can see all the liveries I grew up loving. I love A39 and Eamonn has done a superb job on her. I can't wait to see the video. The choices available to you for running sessions is limitless and I can see how you can disappear into the small world and stay there for hours, and that is what it is all about.

I got some video of A39 ,and of course the very minute I started to

record we had trains dividing and A39 shows she needs more weight

as she found poor grip with the cravens and van.Had a great time

watching Tara Junction,an incredible layout, all credit to Noel.

I think I spent 3 hours watching the action.

Now bare with me on the video,I have it on the Hard Drive

camcorder so I may see how to post up here.

Many thanks Noel, its nice to see them close up, the weathering is excellent, right down to the dirty numbers, it was rare to see a clean fert wagon, maybe just out of the works, the fertiliser wagons got very dirty, Shelton Abbey was a dirty kip, the dust was everywhere, loading fertiliser in places like New Ross or Foynes, then unloading it in places like Athenry or Farranfore in the winter in poor weather, the wagons where always dusty, very unusual and rare to see them exWorks.

Regards

hg

As has been said so much happening on this layout, and I think

about 3 hours sailed by before we knew it.Sorry about the delay

on video as It s taken me ages to upload to youtube-must get

better internet connection.

I was wondering what Noel thought of a39 sounds as not many

people have heard it in the flesh. Gerrys ballybeg had them on

show last year, but its hard to hear the sound proper at a show.

Noel gave the thumbs up to the A39 sound chip, and in case

you are wondering, the chip only has F2 horn sound hence

why it has not been released yet.

As can be seen from the video A39 needs more weight, and

other than that runs very well.
