  1. Funny it was posted in 2017 but the 071s were introduced in 1971 so even know there still 39 years old!
  2. The C&L was meant to extend to Roscommon via Arigna so it may have been a tram way. As for the rail link in Longford sound like a (stupid) idea that would have been done to link to manors or something.
  3. Hey Galteemore. If you were a student 30 years ago you must have seen the last days of the Glasgow underground. Would make a good full seenic layout.
  4. Lucky find @Warbonnet I would want to miss out if you model that era. MM
  5. She is quite a good drawer. Pity It's black and white. MM
  6. Hi all. After a long time thinking I have decided to build the stock for a model of the Dublin and Blessington railway. The reason being is that I have fallen in love with small standard gauge railways like the W&T. The layout will be a what if off if the D&B extended to Glendalough or Rathdrum and will take features from the company's terminus Templeogue. So does any one have pics of the line or drawings/ pis of the rolling stock. I have to say it takes much ideas from David Holemans Fintonagh layout and will be the same size. Hope someone will be able to help or inform me on the line. MM
  7. Wow that looks great. Love the Mogul at the side in GSR grey.
  8. Found some pics both by Ciaran Cooney so I hope there is no copy right and if there is I will delete the photos so Ciaran if you see this I am sorry. First is 086 in silver. I saw this engine in that colur on its way to Westport once. Note the door is in intercity orange. Nexted is 074. Again I have seen it but This was Way after it was overhauled in Inchcore at the beginning of May 2018 and was in Grey but was quite dirty. I have to admit I will miss the colur when they repaint 086 but it is quite ugly when the loco is dirty. MM
  9. One is left and that is 083 [I think]
  10. Very little @Angus is the only lad on here [ I think ] but a lot of Irish N gauge go for GNRI for some reason. I have seen a N gauge layout with only two superb locos going around a small but very realistic Layout. You could go 3mm as i saw a layout [ GNRi mind you] that was in 3mm. Got talking to the owner and he said scratch building was easy due to the size and that you do not roll as you can use pipes its so small. Here is the N gauge on this site.
  11. lovely layout @Irishswissernie some of the curves are quite good and do not ruin the layout. Was the track flexitrack?
  12. Nice amount of kit there. Some of those pieces o the brake van look quite fiddly. Cart wait to sea what happens to it
  13. Amazing buildings. Did you build them?
  14. Wow Mark you are amazing at modeling. Will you please build a midland break van with the lettering as they are a firm favorite of mine. Wish I was as good a you but it takes time. MM
  15. Anda lupa garis yang ditutup tahun lalu [I learnt it from a freind who parents were from there and for words i dont know i use gogle translate] MM
  16. Pelabhan Durgort @jhb171achill(Durgort harbor spelt in Indonesian ) MM
  17. although I like the GNRI I can not wait to sea what Next. Any Waterford and Tramore or Dublin and Blessington.
  18. You have to remember that a a lot of murder was done when the Spanish or French failed to win. I once heard a story of a Spanish with 700 people on it. Only one person survived after the British captured them because the Brits killed the rested. The Spanish who did not get captured had family's with the local thus having people from Belmullet or Cliftan with tans in the 1880s!
  19. looks great. great level of detail.
