Mol_PMB Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 There are a few CIE road vehicles on eBay at the moment from this seller but the prices look steep to me: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267083171281?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=sBK5n9TJQBO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=PWnBnL0RQpq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY On the other hand, last night I couldn’t resist a couple of original livery Cravens at about £60 each. Though the first will need a new interior to be accurate. Quote
Rob R Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Guys, As much as I want one, the timing is wrong and I am skint so fill your boots Sligo tank.. Rob 1 Quote
Galteemore Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 (edited) Very nice but I won’t be in on this as I have one built and one yet to build…don’t want to be greedy! Looks like an early iteration of the kit as the rod etch is integral with the chassis etch and not separate, and has the stumpy chimney casting, which will require replacing with a more accurate alternative. Well worth bidding on this piece of history; NS kits are very good indeed. Edited December 3, 2024 by Galteemore Quote
Rob R Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Obviously if it sticks at something like it's current price (£19.99) I'll have a punt, but realistically that isn't going to happen. It is also the wrong scale for me but that just a minor detail Rob 1 Quote

Yes, I thought it looked a good price. It’s too late a period for my modelling though I have plenty of memories of the year or two it spent down south - including on the beet campaign. Quote

Mol_PMB Posted Thursday at 20:30 Posted Thursday at 20:30 Gosh, is this weathering supposed to add value? Noting that Rails themselves have brand new, upgraded design Murphy 141s for £40 less... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196924966977 They might have got almost that grubby in the IE era but not in CIE days. 1 Quote
