That’s the most important bit covered.

There's still a problem about the brake rods which pass either side of each wheel, though. These need to be detached somehow (not easy) and moved outwards to give clearance.

Consider it an investment! They'll only appreciate in price 😉

Just acquired smor…

I know, I know, but I just couldn’t help myself.

Cheers

Darius

I’m trying to resist a second one! I’m a long way from home with very patchy phone signal, which helps me to save my money for a fleet of C class that I have more use for.

😂You can solve that problem by buying two in the first instance.

I have almost persuaded my wife of the wisdom of me doing that...oh, who am I kidding?!😀

Now I don't need a third one...

If you havent got yours yet email us with your order number, as all pre-orders are clear on the warehouse system.

I know there is an element of fun, but there is a lot of truth in this too.

Look at how hard it is to buy NIR locos that Murphy Models has made over the years. This is HIGHLY LIKELY to be the only run of these we make...

You have been warned (and same goes for the 800 too)

You want sound investments? Well, look no further.

Cheers!

....and if you develop an attachment to your Hunslet or a B1a, you can always arrange to have it buried with you when you die. That way, nobody else can have it, and the remaining ones become even more valuable.

A bit like the fella who, many years ago, had a rare postage stamp. He then acquired the only other one in existence and destroyed it so that his would be unique and, thus, priceless.

This is why I'm glad IRM models come in great individual packaging.

Hunslets arrived today in a pretty shabby box for $45 postage.

That’s nothing compared to how a lot of my parcels arrive. Decent void-fill packaging is also very important.

Wonder what the used value of Falcon will jump to as soon as the last one is sold....

If the 071’s and Park Royals are anything to go by, €500 plus.

Surely you mean the eBay flip value?

Sadly there's lots of chancers out there trying to make a quick buck 😔 No doubt it won't be long until we see some Park Royals on there at inflated prices too.

Falcon is a weird livery isn't it? They used the yelow panels like on the 111s of the era but they chose to use the older, more angular NIR logo even though the more rounded logo had already been introduced several years earlier on other rolling stock, including the 111s, right?

They weren’t in service much longer that livery was applied, so maybe it was a way to use transfers instead of drafting new ones for something that was more behind the scenes. NIR c class got the same thing more or less around that time too?

we are talking about a company that have kept the 111s in a logo that’s at this stage over 20 years out of use?
