Riversuir226 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Thats class, the viaduct looks excellent Quote
Riversuir226 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Know the Feeling heirflick, a win in the lotto is the only way I ll ever be able to get my hands on one of those enterprise sets, still though its a cracker and hats of to Dave for producing it to such a high standard. Quote
heirflick Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 steven, you may get an egv for the rake now to complete the set! Quote

BosKonay Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 @heirflick - This is the 'non EGV' rake - though it looks like they'll all have to have one allright The next rake is the one with the EGV Here's a quick vid of a flyby (I only have about 15 feet of mainline jury-rigged!) Quote
RedRich Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 It's a huge buzz for me to see an accurate Enterprise set modelled. It's a scene that was only ever something to dream about. I can't wait to see the D&M freight stock. I've said it before and I'll say it again Stephen it looks too damn good. Rich, Quote
BabyGM Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 :drool: I'm speechless at how good this layout is I can't wait to see the scenery started as I'd say it will be equally as good as the progress so far Quote
heirflick Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 thats is sickeningly beautiful! i would happily trade the M-I-L for a set like that. how many chips are required to operate her? Quote
BosKonay Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 There is a DCC decoder in the DVT, that gives you head/tail directional light, main headlight and cab light on three functions. The interior lighting is 'always on' with a flicker free / capacitor charging, meaning it stays lit for a few seconds even when unpowered. (all of that are 'options' form the lads) Quote
BosKonay Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 A couple of general 'update' photos taken today too Quote
BabyGM Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Brilliant I love the freight yard and the engine shed Quote
BosKonay Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I've been focusing on the mainline, so have 'skipped' the shed trackwork Once the mainline is down and powered, I'll be able to watch trains go by while I work on the yard and the two main branches! Quote
Riversuir226 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 This just gets sweeter and sweeter:). Quote
201bhoy Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) Excellent! Have you any pocket wagons for the freight yard? Haven't seen any yet! Edited January 16, 2013 by 201bhoy Quote
BosKonay Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Yes I've ten of them. You can see one in the previous photos that I was using for clearance testing... will have to get the rest out of their boxes Quote
jhb171achill Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 thats is sickeningly beautiful! i would happily trade the M-I-L for a set like that. how many chips are required to operate her? The layout of the M I L, Heirflick? :-) Quote

ttc0169 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I'm sure you like myself are delighted with the Enterprise Stephen and how well it looks on the Layout particularly over the viaduct-are you sure its not the same one used on the cover of the Dublin-Belfast pocket timetables????, That scene will only get better with your second set crossing the viaduct, Well done, the weathered wagons in the freight yard look great and I really like hidden agendas LX wagons, This will be a cracking layout when its finished. Kirley Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Following the development of your layout is very addictive, especially when you add in delights like the Enterprise Rake. An hint of your Freight Stock makes me wonder are you nearly getting to the stage of matching Dave’s collection only yours are not in boxes? Quote
BosKonay Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I have to admit I have 'collection' stuff and 'play' stuff More of the latter than the former though Quote
BosKonay Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Just a reminder too, if you want to just browse the photos http://amiensstreet.com Quote
