jhb171achill
I was thinking of renumbering the 141s I have, to my "personal favourites" B145, B150 and B155. All too often, numerals available are the wrong font, size, or both. Some are BR arial style, fer gawds sake. Does anyone have any ideas as to accurate-appearance numerals for a black'n'tan 141? (OR A, C, B101, B121 etc....)?

Be very very carefully with the marker lights.I broke two of the clear tubes that fit into the holes behind the marker lights, and they are very fragile. The black tape around the lighting pcb has to block out any light bleed. When changing the cabs, you can undo the roof mounted pcb for the cab lighting and fit into new cab. enniscorthyman
I stuck on two rear lamps on one IRM Tara.I think they look nice.
JasonB
Always a nice little addition to the last wagon or coach in a rake, and a must in my opinion. Sometimes the smallest of detail makes all the difference. Coupler removed aswell I noticed
enniscorthyman
Just finished work on two MIR beer wagons which are running well now.The chassis on one was a bit out of alignment, which I suppose is to be expected on a white metal kit.
RedRich
They look very nice Eamonn and well made. One of MIR's better kits. Rich.
John-r
Lovely job Eamonn, they look the part, also it was really nice to meet yourself and Enda last week at the Camden fort show. Thanks for taking the time both of you to talk and explain things. Your layout was class and I'm particularly taken with your z21 controller it was nice to have a go and get the feel of a dcc controller. Thanks once again. enniscorthyman
More work on the Brake van. The most tricky part I found was the brake blocks, but thankfully some pre drilled holes certainly helps.
leslie10646
Coming along very nicely, Eamonn, the effort will be well worth the result - a delightfully antique and long-lived brake van! Thanks for sharing the "work in progress". Plenty more, where they came from for those of you who haven't got one yet! jhb171achill
An excellent van. These things are just as appropriate to modelling the early years of the 20th century - an era not often covered - right through GSR days and on through CIE times. The last such beasts were still to be seen into the early 1960s and one or two even managed to make it into the black'n'tan era. They can be used alongside the more modern standard CIE vans. Until closure in 1961, West Cork had some truly venerable vans of various types.

leslie10646
Oh Eamonn, you've made my lovely brake van dirty - almost as dirty as they seemed to get latterly! I have one photo where the blessed thing was BENT at one point - must look for it! Terrific. God bless Andy C who first made me think of that particular van. Thanks for posting it - a work of art!

The "18" plates are 3d, just for clarity. The plates themselves are raised from the backing, with the border, mounting bolts and "18" text additionally raised, like the real things.
