As far as I can remember, the kit is designed to have working hinges. I've just added these as a cosmetic detail.

Class 201  no.220 

Weathering has been kept to a minimum, with the exhaust and underside carrying most of the grime. 

I have also fitted a driver.

Excellent work pal. 220 has always been my favorite of the class. The exhaust always sounded a bit different. The gates look amazing too. Des has brought some amazing kits to the Irish scene down through the years.

Cheers, Rich. Bit of soft spot for 220 myself, so she was always going to be first in line to get a little bit of a makeover.

Another batch of wagons are now on the bench. This time around, it's my 12 gypsum's along with 3 more ballast hoppers. 

Spent the last couple of evenings highlighting some of the smaller details. 

Loads have also been removed for some cosmetic work. 

Wagons will eventually be weathered. When, is anyone's guess.

Little or nothing worked on since my last post, other than this pair of hornby containers, which I weathered over the Christmas break. I really must get the finger out.

Following on from my recently finished containers, I have now turned my attention to my 42' flats. 

Before carrying out any weathering on these, I have decided to swap out the original bogies and replace them with the more recent version, which has the brass bearings.

That's what I should do. Although, me being me, I'll probably end up keeping them up as spares, knowing quite well that I'll never use them!
