First job, was to cut four new pillars to the size required. Supports and hinges were then added to two of the four pillars. Then, it was on to painting. Job done. Beautiful 4 2 Quote

JasonB Posted May 1, 2022 Author Posted May 1, 2022 Class 201 no.220 Weathering has been kept to a minimum, with the exhaust and underside carrying most of the grime. I have also fitted a driver. 11 7 Quote

RedRich Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 Excellent work pal. 220 has always been my favorite of the class. The exhaust always sounded a bit different. The gates look amazing too. Des has brought some amazing kits to the Irish scene down through the years. Rich 2 1 Quote

Bit of soft spot for 220 myself, so she was always going to be first in line to get a little bit of a makeover. Yep, fantastic kits and an absolute gent to deal with. Quote

JasonB Posted May 13, 2022 Author Posted May 13, 2022 Another batch of wagons are now on the bench. This time around, it's my 12 gypsum's along with 3 more ballast hoppers. Spent the last couple of evenings highlighting some of the smaller details. Loads have also been removed for some cosmetic work. Wagons will eventually be weathered. When, is anyone's guess. 8 Quote
JasonB Posted January 20, 2023 Author Posted January 20, 2023 Little or nothing worked on since my last post, other than this pair of hornby containers, which I weathered over the Christmas break. I really must get the finger out. 11 1 Quote
DJ Dangerous Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Containers are lovely, but 220 looks great! I missed her first time around. 1 1 Quote

JasonB Posted April 29, 2023 Author Posted April 29, 2023 Following on from my recently finished containers, I have now turned my attention to my 42' flats. Before carrying out any weathering on these, I have decided to swap out the original bogies and replace them with the more recent version, which has the brass bearings. 4 Quote

JasonB Posted Saturday at 18:56 Author Posted Saturday at 18:56 After reading @murphaph's recent post regarding a rerun of his fert transfers, it reminded me that the five sheets I bought from him last year, were still tucked away in a drawer upstairs. So, I thought it was about time I dug them out and gave them a try. As you can see below, they are designed to cover the top of the loads when applied. It got me thinking, how the load would look if fully wrapped. For example, if they were to be used on a yard scene. Here's how they turned out. 11 2 Quote
