  1. I'm not sure there are definite prices in either location. There is the currency rate and postage to consider and who knows what's happening with Brits-Stalled and potential import taxes to those remaining in the EU??
  2. I'm 'sure' that some of the cravens stock was not painted with the dual band and hung around for FO and MO services. There are several threads on cravens on the site, must take a look regarding dates and the validity of that assertion
  3. I now you said you'd seen the stuff on Flickr but these are quite good albeit the box, tower are hidden at the other end Also a bit obscured in this view some time later and Eiretrains has several modern photos of the abandoned railway structures in this album http://eiretrains.com/Photo_Gallery/Railway Stations P/Palace East/IrishRailwayStations.html#PalaceEast_20060825_007_CC_JA.jpg
  4. https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=22626062323&searchurl=isbn%3D9781857800821%26n%3D100121501%26sortby%3D17&cm_sp=snippet-_-srp1-_-title1
  5. Honestly that's somewhat unsympathetic to many customers who have supported IRM loyally from the start and have missed out, although I do accept your point regarding preordering may have some validity. Had more been produced would we have had comment how they they hadn't sold as quickly as expected? I am pretty sure that the large orders will recirculate onto the market at a markup before Christmas 2020 though.
  6. Eeek! this caught me unawares also. I got no indication that these were near sold out before delivery but I probably took my eye off the ball as so busy at work. I needed a couple of rakes of B&I and Bells and even the CIE containers. Bummer! (sorry)
  7. I don't know why people get so bothered about something that sold for some price that seems excessive. This is usually posted over on the eBay Watch thread and I've no idea why people continue to post about things they would not buy on eBay usually ridiculing the person that did/might buy it in the process. I rarely see as many bargains highlighted, we won't go into why. Anyway, who knows why that purchaser agreed to the price; he/she needs one and it's worth having to him/her, won the lottery and price is no object, couldn't find the prototype on sale after his share price made new high, price wasn't excessive at all as pointed out already is speculating on the future price, Purchased for a commercial project, someone else paying the bill
  8. Not familiar with the two yards there or what sort of crane you're after Any help? https://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/24346083143/in/album-72157626756740602/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/irishswissernie/39949363093/in/album-72157626756740602/
  9. For some that 141 in BnT livery is the best up there and that Cravens (with the single thick white band) on the innermost curve would run perfectly behind her
  10. Astronomers might also get into difficulty googling certain regions of spacetime with very high gravitational acceleration
  11. The book was probably a gift to Nicolai Gatsoulis an endoscopic GI surgeon based in Corfu who was on faculty at the 15th Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons held in Boston, MA in 2006. The gifter may be Mark Clemson a surgeon based at University of Nebraska who co-authored scientific research with the former ... just a wild guess, like
  12. I suppose if you modeled 21mm track you'd certainly get away with the 1mm discrepancy that would be 22mm for the 5'6" Indian gauge. Maybe someone would do 21mm if they could also sell it to all Indian modelers as a much smaller compromise than Irish OO modelers have been making for eons
  13. That's very nice indeed John and it prompted me to review the K/Ks class in my 'Locomotives of the GSR' which is (IMO) a superb book and essential reading for anyone with even vague interest in steam locomotives, their operation, classes etc.
  14. All from Metrovivk of this forum https://www.flickr.com/photos/metrovick/16620797444/in/photolist-T4Zh8Q-rjHW2b-KFoYA3-xX3W4F-Gvcfnq-ijRNLt-wZxRPt-qn4iL1-rFr56B-2gGNxVU-2anQRAX-T4XQyL-21c4tUC-RBMHEh-soPC55-hCpmq4-Svyi42-qy9vp8-oGaVGk-rosVBM https://www.flickr.com/photos/metrovick/29876261163/in/photolist-LjAM3c-YWcZMf-UgCkzg-zG1jGR-23PPewN-Mw4Dz6-rjHW2b-vy9AAG-wVza1B-oWBNu4-ouWo4E-qn4iL1-rFr56B-obLkiH-kLcrha/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/metrovick/15057924971/in/photolist-LjAM3c-YWcZMf-UgCkzg-zG1jGR-23PPewN-Mw4Dz6-rjHW2b-vy9AAG-wVza1B-oWBNu4-ouWo4E-qn4iL1-rFr56B-obLkiH-kLcrha/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/metrovick/14767321052/in/photolist-LjAM3c-YWcZMf-UgCkzg-zG1jGR-23PPewN-Mw4Dz6-rjHW2b-vy9AAG-wVza1B-oWBNu4-ouWo4E-qn4iL1-rFr56B-obLkiH-kLcrha/ I think it might have been only one rake including a generator, not certain of the exact years but a local expert should appear here shortly
  15. The newly purchased GM EMD B129 in its original grey and yellow livery is unlikely to have been the 'station pilot'. The quality isn't perfect as you say, but I think that's a TPO behind the loco so maybe Galway Up Mail. Second looks like Gleensk Viaduct on the ring of Kerry (Farranfore to Valencia Line)
  16. They probably just wandered in, attracted to bobbys-bits
  17. Popular as these were there are some folks looking for ORANGE bubbles now
  18. 1979 https://www.flickr.com/photos/126254131@N05/32490822426/in/album-72157675871216914/ The following 3101-series 4w heating vans were still in traffic in 1979: 3104, 3114, 3116, 3118, 3123 ...although all were gone by 1981
  19. And who said they weren't as popular. Maybe they'll do a re-run of three more with new numbers! good luck
  20. Just some info regarding Marks Models exporting outside the EU. I have purchased from them before and they WILL (or did) refund the VAT if you email them (better in advance). Yes they SHOULD be able to do that automatically so that you know what you're paying up front but c'st la vie
  21. Yes, please and thank you
  22. Maybe some photos of the Guinness keg wagon for those who can't make the show?
  23. The coach in the third photos is one of the 2972-2978 series TPOs built c. 1958 so maybe the up Galway mail train. Last shot shows the vacuum pipe and the multiple unit working cables plugging in by the double marker lights on each loco. Mayner's J15 has the original double smokebox doors
  24. This thread is Bargain Watch. I suggest we have one called Wallet Watch for stuff like this?
  25. A bunch of pallet vans of different varieties would enhance that even more
