    Nice find, Dave!
  4. Nice looking loco... looks like a more futuristic version of SNCF's BB 75000 class: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNCF_Class_BB_75000
  5. And now for something completely different... 'To ride the Moscow subway for free, do 30 squats' http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57611796-1/to-ride-the-moscow-subway-for-free-do-30-squats/
  6. No, that's not the point you made at all. Furthermore, the link above is to a news report, and the story is reported in news-like fashion. There is no content within it that can be classified as graphic or offensive. At this point I'd advise you read up on the forum's rules, which include this: http://www.irishrailwaymodeller.com/showthread.php/79-Website-Guidelines-Rules If you wish to discuss this issue further, take it up directly by private message with either Boskonay, Warbonnet or myself.
  7. This is the off-topic area, in case you haven't noticed.
  8. If you're going to lose the plot, you may as well go the whole hog... 'Premier Inn guest hurled racist abuse with fire extinguisher hose up his bottom' http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/12/premier-inn-guest-hurled-racist-abuse-with-fire-extinguisher-hose-up-his-bottom-4184507/
  9. His books on whitemetal and brass loco construction are invaluable too... and he explains everything in an uncomplicated way.
  10. JB, There's a photo of an 'O' gauge model of Meadbh in 'Modelling Irish Railways' by Stephen Johnston and Alan O'Rourke, which was painted in genuine GSR green from a stock obtained from Inchicore by Cyril Fry.
  11. There's no error with the date displayed - the original message in that thread was posted on 21/01/2013. It was lying dormant for a while before the latest post.
  12. The two machines on board the wagon are Donelli track-laying gantries. They're stored sideways on board, and when ready to be deployed they are pivoted, and then their legs drop onto temporary rails on either side of the railway track. They can then move up and down the track-laying train, picking up new track panels and putting them in place, while also loading old panels.
  13. That's a cracking model of the Donellis alright, Richie... nice work on the detailing and weathering!

I'd say so... they'd need work done to be able to travel on the mainline back to Dublin.
  15. Looks great! Gotta love those old ALCOS...

    Raymond Loewy

Well spotted, Josefstadt. Amazing that we see so many of his creations around us to this day. I see that Google have created a 'Google Doodle' to celebrate his birthday, too.
  17. I don't know about that... I had a laugh at it. Definitely no worse than your blonde joke.
  18. Agreed... that weathering job is A1!
  19. Folks, the idea is to not give away the answer here on the thread! I can already hear the spammers marching in... Bosko will now be setting a new question for new members.
  20. Hi George, we'll look into this. Thanks for letting us know!
  21. George, you'll have to start saving your pennies to get one of these... http://www.track-shack.com/acatalog/IOM-ex-County-Donegal-Railcar--registration-of-interest--E20_8.html
  22. Rocked up to the stall on Saturday but you guys must've been away getting lunch... had a look at the Dart model, though, and it really looks the part now.
  23. Great day out. Picked up two Supertrain 071s from Senõr Bracken and Killucan2 showed me the new D&M pallet cement wagon... think I'll have to order a few of them!
