enniscorthyman
I enjoyed seeing it again this year in Wexford, and the sound has got me thinking. Rich, Glad ye liked the photos. The sound chiped locos do sound far better in Gerrys house as the general noise at the show drowns them out a bit. Robert Davies
You remembered! Thanks Eamonn for the 121 pics! ....and all the rest of course! Ah yes that van, I have been in a similar situation myself... Hanging by the back axle off a fence post, pretty much vertical down an old quarry face with naught but 20ft of fresh air beyond the bonnet badge - as a point of reference MkIV Escort van rear doors open fine from the inside with mild persuasion. -Rob

The gray 121 seemed to grap my attention and won me over when seeing it haul the goods.I did take a video of it,but it won't load from my I pod touch to photobucket for some strange reason. That grey 121, I didn't know 121s ever wore that livery, it sorta looks like the old L&N livery in the States. I think we could write a book on our postal work. Hunslet 102
Some great shots of the 121s in the various liveries they wore down through the years. The grey livery of the early 60s is particularly stunning. It is great to see photos of hand-painted locomotives as I feel they capture the feel of the real thing better than an unblemished sprayed locomotive. There is something therapeutic about hand-painting stock, especially Irish stock,a lot slower than spraying but a lot more rewarding. The stock looks totally at home in the layout surroundings as well,a fine looking layout.
