Saw this earlier, wish I had money lying around. Not sure if it’s worth the price or not, I’ve heard mixed reviews on the carriages but they look lovely either way! Maybe somebody here will enjoy them!

Yep. I bought a set, minus the loco, last year from Eliis Clarke for £625, which is minus the tax.  Think it worked out at about 900Euro in the end. They are very nice but not the same quality as IRM stuff.

I must keep an eye out!

It’d be tough for them to match the level of IRM, especially at the minute! Their models are amazing!

About £1800 too dear!

Hopefully they catch on to the pricing, in the further details they’re looking £100 for postage on top of that!

It's like classic cars - you get some that seem to have no purpose other than for flipping on at ever more fantasy figures.

And not forgetting @Mayner ‘s range, this MGWR 2-4-0 kit is a bargain waiting to be snapped up:

I must confess I'm in danger of buying this myself, even though I don't need it and it will probably just sit in the cupboard of shame and never get built!

They were good-looking machines:

Though I'm not sure I'd want the devil's engine:

If he didn't, it'll probably reappear on eBay for twice the price

What’s it worth to you? 😂

Buy it! Rare kit and you will do it justice. Be a nice loco for an IRRS special to the mill….

I wonder whether my 450mm sector plate is long enough for a 2-4-0 and a carriage?

Congratulations and enjoy it @Mol_PMB, I hope we get to see it in all its glory some day!

@Galteemore - I guess this makes you a 'Social Media Influencer' now ... 😀

I decided that one was too expensive to post here and risk the wrath of those in the Eurozone!

The dark green ones seem scarcer secondhand than the light green, but more sought-after (despite being very much in the minority prototypically). Not one I'll be bidding on.

There don't seem to be many Irish bargains around at this time of year.

This might be of interest to some, the price isn't silly yet:

Not bad at only €36!

I think that the tax-free threshold for importing into Ireland is €45, so that coach might skate under.

Rails of Sheffield have some Irish stuff on eBay at the moment - A class, 141s, Genesis coaches, but you won't like the prices!

All that shows for me is a 141:

€240 DCC-fitted isn’t bad at all, plus, it’s one of the original run. Anybody who has opened one of them up to fit a decoder will curse them to the ground, original run or re-run.

They accept offers, so you might get them for a little less than €315. Think they worked out about €50-ish each when new?

Don't forget the import duty & postage.

Postage is £38 alone + £90 import duty.

Yeah, for anything Irish second-hand, you really need somebody in the UK that you can post to.

For new stuff, it’s not so bad as shops will deduct the UK VAT and then you just pay Irish VAT on arrival instead.
