I put in BexleyModels.Com instead of .co.uk , Jesus Mary and Joseph got the shock of my life, I didnt know men could be that well endowed! Visited another obscure Italian site and low and behold look what turned up. I have one in a freight set but I had never seen a single boxed example before The famous Sundries wagon in N gauge So it fits nicely into the 32 04XX range Ramseys have it catalogued under Long Wheelbase Refrigerator Van but with no Catalogue number Happy Christmas me! 9 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WRENNEIRE Posted May 17, 2022 Author Share Posted May 17, 2022 On the subject of Sundries wagons I picked up this O Gauge one recently in an attic clear out Research would suggest that up until '82 Lima used a 4 digit reference for their models which would be 6711 for this wagon, however after '82 they began to appear with a 2 digit prefix, 30 for OO gauge and now 31 for O gauge. Its the first 6 digit reference I have seen for O Gauge, anyone else have anything similar I believe they all came in the stone effect box rather than the older orange and blue ones Wagon is upside down to display the broken wheel! 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
WRENNEIRE Posted May 18, 2022 Author Share Posted May 18, 2022 (edited) Some more useless information Lima 305346W Green Mk1 with Flying snail 2nd pic shows 6 digit reference number versus 4 digit( bought in the real capitol!) and the boxes they appear on 3rd pic shows different coloured roofs, I checked both my collection and the ones I have for sale and this difference is constant on them all, sorry to bother you with this but just adds another anomaly to the Lima history. R792 CIE local goods set (0-4-0t with four wagons) date issue 1979 - little over 4000 made. Solo Models in red single package R768 CIE Hymek Factory stamp on instruction date issue December 1976 before left factory for Ireland arrive about Feb 1977. - only 300 solo models made. R720 MK" Open coaches - 130 made. R721 brake MK2 - 200 made. Wonder what the story there is... (not posting a photo as I'm not wild about putting people's signatures up online for obvious reasons...) Why 209? When I was 12 a kindly NIR driver invited me up to its cab in Connolly and its been my 'favourite' 201 ever since. We shall see... Thank you Tom As far as I know, both liveries were released with 4101 and 4108 bundled, and 4102 and 4110 bundled. So MM4101 and MM4108 both had 4101 and 4108 bundled. Pat Hammond the story of rovex Vol.3 wrote 'Two different versions of the model have been reported and this could be accounted for by their having been made in two batches, one of 300 sole models in 1977 and the others in sets in 1981. One has the original cast metal motor bogie and black buffer beams while the other has the Ringfield motor bogie and red buffer beams.' I found one unboxed Ringfield motor version. Locomotive operation manual date 1980 showing R768 CIE, also same model R335 but in Two tone green livery.
