A little something to get you into the festive spirit.

An interesting connection- Andrew Ranken, to whom I’m related, is a railway enthusiast, as was his friend Darryl. I have a lot of models that I’ve received from Andrew, as well as two books that belonged to Darryl.

Merry Christmas everyone.

A toast, to many a project started, finished, revived, dropped and many a mother, father, husband, wife, sibling, child or friend driven mad, all by this hobby. Hope everyones Christmas is to their liking. And a happy new year.

A42 shunts Kielys cross beet siding as the sun starts to set on Christmas eve 1965. The train will continue to Youghal where it will pick up more loads before continuing on to Cork, arriving hopefully before closing time!

Wishing all forum members and their loved ones a happy Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone. Nothing railway related under the tree as I don't trust Santa to get me the right stuff lol. The main this is to have our health and happiness 🙂

I took the pics at one or two AM, on my way home from work.

Everything shuts around nine or ten, so aside from the few lads playing football in the plaza in the fourth photo, anybody with any sense was at home, sitting on their balcnies, drinking sangria or prosecco.
