josefstadt Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Superb layout and great progress BosKonay. Any chance of a current track plan with a rough idea od dimensions, please? Quote
BosKonay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Absolutely - one is a bit overdue, as some elements 'evolved' away from the plan I'll do an updated track plan to 'as laid' and grab a sequence of photos around the layout asap! The overall dimensions are 22 feet x 13 feet. Quote
BosKonay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Here is the latest, as laid track plan. 22 Feet across the top, 13 feet top to bottom. As you can see, Blackrock Rd. Depot (on the right) and Cement Branch on the left are still 'open' and unlaid. All the track pictures is now in place and powered. Quote
BosKonay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Lol no but some means if slowing time would help Quote

Dave Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I'm looking for a decent design software for windows, I want to be able to design multiple baseboards for customers. Quote
BosKonay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Not sure on the pc. I've heard mention of anyrail and xtracad I gave a buffer a lick of paint. Not red enough? Quote
josefstadt Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Thanks for the plan BosKonay. It is a superb looking set up. Congratulations! Quote
heirflick Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) steven, your pic reminds me of all the times i pulled the cab ogg the babys but could never get them to sit right after:(( Edited February 9, 2013 by heirflick Quote
BosKonay Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 @heirflick - yep, they are a curse @kevrail - you know, I don't know! I have a little box of 8 of them, they are a whitemetal kit, but I've no details at all about them! I've a pair of DCC Concepts ones that are very similar looking with lights that I plan to use too Quote
enterprise207 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Don't know how long it has been since i last posted, alot has changed here Quote
BosKonay Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Sorry for the quality, tried 'HDR' mode on the phone, which seems a bit pants! Back to wiring now methinks! Quote
Glenderg Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Nice one Bosko, love the beets on the viaduct. Keep up the great work! R. Quote
BosKonay Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 The fun now is finding out how 'challenged' much of the older stuff (steam, silverfox, etc) is by the weight of some of the rakes. All bar the new 'factory' stuff like cravens, mk2s, mk3's, demand more pulling power than much of the stock Poor ole 034 couldn't manage the 12 cement bubbles at all gawd bless er Big bucket o' bullfrog snot en route hopefully, and liquid lead Gives me an excuse to get back on scenics tho - have a little wiring to finish, then a heap of motors to fit, then all the frogs to wire up, then .... Quote
enniscorthyman Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Lovely stuff, and especially the beets. Have you seen the triple video of 1998 beet season? Quote
201bhoy Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Superb! Now could we see some 201s and 141s/ 181s in IE livery please? Quote
BosKonay Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Pfffft, IE livery :) Will see what I can do Quote
Garfield Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Sorry for the quality, tried 'HDR' mode on the phone, which seems a bit pants!! Nope, you should be using HDR mode... you just have to mess around with the screen (tapping the intended target, etc.) to get the camera to focus properly. Quote
BosKonay Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 AH, cheers garfield.. I have a Canon EOS 450D and tripod, but it doesn't like the low light levels much I've some lighting strips on order to hopefully bring the lumens up enough to take decent photos. Quote
patrick Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I love those A class on the cement and beets. Where did you find those diesel horns? Quote
BabyGM Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Great pictures and video the A classes are lovely Quote
BosKonay Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 A bit silly really, I'm clearly having too much fun with the video editing software now, need to get back to the layout Quote
BosKonay Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 So to compensate, here are a few general update shots Trying out some 'backstreet' buildings that will be behind the main terminus building. The beginnings of a level crossing and street scene at the opposite corner of the layout, just beyond Blackroad Road Junction. And a general 'state of play' looking into the terminus over the throat. Quote
Glenderg Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 ha ha ha ha, that's too funny... Well done Bosko, top marks! P.s - loving the long shots - that will be some layout when it's done. Quote
