Wow! A rolling stock enthusiast's dream. That's a heavy enough load to start with, but look at the van behind the locomotive - almost certainly DSER. Perhaps KMCE might know more? At least fourteen vehicles, which appear to be, and in this order:

1.   DSER vent van

2.  Rebuilt MGWR 6W passenger van

3.  Convertible van - probably MGWR

4.  GSWR 6W passenger brake

5. & 6.  Two carriages - I think one is a Bredin, but both either that or 1951-3 series CIE

7. & 8.   Looks like two wagons

9. & 10.  Two carriages - one, at least, looks GSWR in outline.

The rest is too blurry, or maybe my glasses are.

Shows what kind of house I grew up in….this is the ‘Erne’ I pictured first of all when I read that. By the by, it may well be the most popular Irish loco name of all. At least 4 engines - 3 of them running concurrently -  had it as a full or partial title….

59 ERNE - GNR(I) Class VS 4-4-0 - built 1948 by Beyer Peacock & Co., Works No.6965, as GNR(I) No.210 ERNE - 1958 to UTA as No.59 - 1963 withdrawn - seen here at Lisburn on October 1961.

Some 60 odd Irish medium format negs arrived yesterday to identify etc. Over 1200 Scottish slides from the 1980's-90' also landed as well and they also need identifying etc. So that,s Christmas and New Year sorted time-wise. (Madame probably has different ides!)

Today. Sunset on the West Clare  at Ennistymon 3 November 1960 2 views.

Newry Edward Street, 24 August 1962.

Sion Mills  24 August 1962.

Some images taken by the late Alex Ford Copyright Transport Library today. Dromod 13L 30 June 1950 first 2 views and then passing exchange sidings same date.

Interesting the two steam cranes in the exchange sidings possibly a tandem lift transferring locos between the broad and narrow gauge.

4 views from Graham Roose today First 2 at Connolly 1995.

I see that the 071 is with the NIR 'Enterprise' set. Out of interest may ask if it about leave or at this time was a CIE 071 used to release the NIR locomotive which is presumably at the station buffers?

Belfast GVS 104, 24 August 1962.

The carriage on the right is of interest. It is a GNR Classification M 5 Full Brake by this date numbered c434N. It is in CIE 'green' livery but will be painted into Black/Orange livery at a future date. Withdrawn 1969.

Bangor ex GNR 65 on a Tour 10 June 1961 (poor neg)

The engine in the picture was named 'LOUGH MELVIN'. It took over the working of the tour train at Maysfields Yard from another engine (ex-SLNCR) named 'LOUGH MELVIN'!

Those moguls must have seemed like something from outer space landing in the NCC steam fleet of 1937. Always thought the smaller lettering on the tender looked better - something almost toylike about that size and font on The Bush here. The Beyer heritage of the top 4-4-0 is clearly apparent.
