Do I recall correctly, that Tara Junction holds a hidden Enterprise set somewhere?

Does the 2600 run?

The Junction had a lot of hidden gems.....

Both 2600s railcars are operational....there are videos of them in operation on this thread.

Operating to the suburban rail timetable of 1995/1996 we see 121 class locomotives working Mk3 push pull trains and the Arrow railcar 2601+2602 working a Kildare local service

IR 130 arrives at Tara junction with a six piece Mk3 push pull set with control car 6101 at the rear.

IE 129 propels another push pull set away from the platform with control car 6104 leading.

Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but I've always had a soft spot for the silver and black freight livery. Even more now, as it has been consigned to history.

I see the painters have been busy working on the bridge girders.

Thanks Jason,

I was never fond of the black and silver livery-it looked really rough on the locomotives prior to them receiving the much needed bodywork overhaul.

The bridge gang have been busy repainting and inspecting the plate girders on all bridges on Tara junction over the last few weeks-well spotted👍

I don't want to sound sacrilege but my favourite version of the Class 071 is the current one. Think the cab ends look neat without the grab handles and the livery is certainly better than it's immediate predecessor.

Have  to say the sprayer is really effective with so few weeds on the layout ! If only the real world was so easy !!

Do like this section. In 7mm scale a chap called Giles Flavell builds radio controlled lorries and cranes which can actually load, unload and move stuff around. Were that blue unloader (a rather nice model already) actually be able to do the business, then that really would be the mutt 's you know whats

David,

I would certainly agree with you there,

I remember seeing a 4mm radio controlled loading shovel at an industrial/aggregates themed modern image layout at the Warley exhibition two years ago,it worked well loading the fine sand into a rail wagon-let’s hope that a reach stacker could do something similar with containers in the future.

Impressive lineup of motive power, Noel. I see 112 lurking amongst all the grey, always nice to see out and about.

It’s a full house at the junction on this bank holiday Monday,

A splash of black and orange with a hint of tanker white thrown in as the 08:40 Shelton abbey to Marino point laden ammonia train passes through.
