GNRi1959
Your modelling is very impressive, a question off subject. What heights are your embankments raised? I have to do the same job soon, my bridges were 12' clearance underneath so I reckoned on around 60-70mm to top of trackbed.

I am not sure,as I just matched the height of the embankment to the bridge.

Broithe
The inevitable slight variations in a kit-built rake can often be a great advantage when depicting hard-worked wagons. It's hard to replicate rough usage in a run of factory-produced items.
Broithe
Has anybody tried millet seeds as beets? They should be available in health food shops and even pet food outlets. There has been a tendency for the seeds to get bigger as selective breeding heads in that direction. Might be best to inspect before buying, where possible. Maybe worth a look?
murrayec
Hi Guys Someone some time back posted on here or elsewhere- they used a seed for beets, after in storage they found it went mouldy and made a bit of a mess of the models! I'd try and use something inorganic...... Lovely work, lovely train Eoin

enniscorthyman
Just finished a Provincial wagons side opening container.I used a Dapol Prestwin kit for the chassis, along with extra detail from Dart castings which include buffers and draw hooks. The Prestwin chassis is a bit short in length, but I am happy enough with it.
