jhb171achill Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 This is the first time I've looked at pics of this layout - stunning use of the space available. Looking forward to seeing it develop! Quote
RedRich Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Bren I love the way that the scenic area will be at eye level and it is a master stroke as you will be able to view the trains from the level that we look at the real railway from. I love it and it will be epic. Rich, Quote
A4mallard Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 New goods shed..... and walling.....and a gate.... Quote
scahalane Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Lovely addition, particularly like that retaining wall! Quote
Kirley Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Your colouring adds a depth to your structures and captures the 'railway feel'. Well done. Quote
Warbonnet Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 a Falcon will look good perched next to that Quote

Dave Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Wow, that looks great. Where did you get the arches? Quote
A4mallard Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Thanks for your comments, Dave the retaining wall arches are scratch built from card. regards Bren Quote
RedRich Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Top work on the water tower Bren. The layout is really taking shape now. It's a layout for running trains which will really capture the prototype perfectly. I have to say that I love the 37's in DRS blue. Rich, Quote
Glenderg Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Just find it hard to get my head around the sheer scale of this thing . Love the tower and the shading. R. Quote
A4mallard Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 It's a scratch build, plastic card. I'm very pleased with how it turned out mainly odds and ends. The wifes tupperware was considered at one stage but it's very hard to glue anything to it, and even harder to work with a black eye. The 37 is a Vi trains a lovely runner. Quote

Weshty Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Mighty impressive scratchbuilt tower, I like the RSJ undersupports, reminds me of Foynes tower, which uses rail for the same purpose! Quote
BosKonay Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Beautiful! I just love the flowing lines of this layout±! Any chance of a video mallard : Quote
