He must be saving up for a deposit for a house 😏

Even a yurt isn't that expensive, that said the seller must be living up my road as I am getting bombarded with requests to sell my house from so called estate agents 🤬, I don't mind since I have heavy metal music from one side and bhangra music on the other 😠

We had a term much used in NI when I was young - "He's a Chancer"!

We'll see if they're sold at that price........

There are guys who collect all Dapol commissions and I think that this outfit is hoping to kid some of them into filling gaps in their collections! They ignore that while they were Dapol wagons, what was on them WASN'T!

No, I wasn't rooting around in my garage - I was commissioning more wagons from Dapol ........

Too late, I've already commissioned a load from them!

Or buy new unpainted Dapol wagons (vans) for €8ea and paint them to CIE Livery with decals from SSM

Exactly what I did. Like £5 or £6 each, something like that.

Meanwhile, I bought one of Wiggy's scrap chasis. Ebay (or Wiggy) had pitched import duties at STG 15 if I recall correctly - and a big postage charge of maybe twice that. But I had it shipped to Addresspal in Herefordshire for a little over 4 Euro in postage. They looked at it and assessed it import duties at a whopping €2.16.  There will be another 6 Euro to have it transshipped and maybe 4 euro more in admin fees for handling the customs end. Total Shipping including Duties is going to come in under EUR 16 - that was the import charge alone if I had let Wiggy send it directly to me.

Great. Any pics?

I think that I uploaded a video of @Mayner's brake vans to YT and there were some Dapols in the rake, but not fully sure, and don't want to go spamming the forum by sharing again.

First set of decals from @Weshty went missing in the post so a fresh batch were sorted five or six months ago, and they'll go on when they get here.

dunno man, it was the first result when i clicked on YOUR ebay link. lol

Maybe sellers have the option to block their listings from certain regions based on IP addresses, rather than just the .es / .co.uk platforms. I'll find out soon enough for myself!

Using @Sean's link, and removing all of the crap from the end of it, I can see the item.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175757401179

Changing the .co.uk to .es, I can still see it.

https://www.ebay.es/itm/175757401179

But it does not appear in my search results on .co.uk, .es nor .ie.

So I'm guessing that there is some sort of additional level of visibility for sellers now, where they can block regions based on IP addresses or something.

P.S.: Booooooo Mallorca, yay Canarias!

Don’t bother.

Agree. I've enough of those including damaged ones collected over the years as respray donors and in one case as a chassis donor. Last one I bought retail from Marks just before Covid cost €139 new. €300 is just too much IMHO, and €500 for the NIR blue ones or freight grey ones seems almost obscene waste. Can you believe about 7 years ago when Seamus Graham was still running the excellent model shop portlaoise I sent back a grey 7078 because he accidentally shipped me two 7078's. About to respray 085 as 7071 in freight grey (slightly damaged donor cost €110, paint will cost about €8, plus a few hours, plus some decals from SSM).

I have that issue all the time from outside of the UK I don't know if it has something to do with the different euro zones and I guess as the UK is no longer part of them, may be some one has cut the link.

I currently have eBay accounts in the UK, Europe, USA, South Africa and Australia.

Is this your ad DJ?

Yeah, it's mine, decided to sell a pack at a loss to try build a rating of some sort.

Only one bid, and the bidder is your mate, John Paul, so he'll probably re-sell them.

Just bamboozled as to why I can't see my own damn ad in the search results.
