Have 171, bought from EBay,  but it’s not for resale.

You're off my Christmas card list, so!

Tinnelly truck on eBay, better price than usual:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/134422134917

Bachmann CIE Mogul in plain black:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/225372228677

Nearly sure that @jhb171achillsaid that this is the better of the two black liveries.

Nice Lucey truck. Bit pricey, though:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/394427741596

McCulla truck, good price:

Most of the Woolwiches ended up in green. At least one ended its life still in grey (which they were all in until 1945/7).

The single one in lined black is correct, although that one engine - the only one of any class to carry that livery - only did so for about 18 months and only on one route, before withdrawal and scrapping.

The several which were black had a correctly coloured pale green “flying snail”, not a yellow one. I think that plain black model has yellow logo - so it’s wrong. Easy to fix, though.

In terms of realism, very heavy weathering would be appropriate for all of them in any livery! The only time they were clean was when they were grey…..!

import and postage to here, around 80 euro all told..

Its always worth checking the UK postage and using AddressPal which is less than 7 Euro. While not so in this case, UK sellers often offer free postage internally so there is a big saving to be made then. An Post will handle the customs side and invoice you for any charges due.

I see that this is also on Adverts.ie for a similar price - not bad considering what Chris charges for these when new:

Says that it's unavailable. I assume that means that it was withdrawn?

Those have begun to pop up ever since IRMs announcement they were producing them.

Sell them off before they tank the price with highly accurate models.

Makes sense I guess. Plus, the 170 looks a bit funky for a 22000. A GWR 800 with the pantographs removed would look better.

neither really gets it, 800 has a long sleek nose and the 170 looks frumpy and squat.

We dont have to worry about either now we're getting the proper job 😉

And at an outstanding price, too, less than €350!

A point to bear in mind, possibly - I've been 'watching' an item (not model or railway related) that I might get around to obtaining at some point.

It was a 'Buy It Now' for £27:89.

He's down to the last few and has nudged the price up to £127:89, possibly in the hope that the last few are snapped up by people who might not notice the 1..?

I've seen it before. Once when looking for a replacement door mirror glass. Initially both left-hand and right-hand ones were the same price, about a tenner. Then the left-hand one suddenly went up by a hundred quid. I asked the vendor if this was a mistake - No, that was the last left-handed one, and somebody might be desperate...

Few interesting bits on eBay.

IRM A Class A46 with sound, current bid €175 plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/385396869152

IRM A Class 056 with sound, current bid €140 plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/385396878718

I assume they're the two mentioned by @Fowler4f. Very cheap for sound-fitted A's!

Silver Fox A Class 023, €110 plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/295515935174

Murphy Models 201 Class 8208, €300 plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/204220574208

(Described as a "reluctant runner" on testing)

IRM Tara Mines wagons, €80 plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/266023236636

Seller used to be a bit of a gouger but that's a great price for some Taras.

plus £28 postage, plus approx £71 duty

The postage and the duty is the killer. I posted two of my A's to family up in Ireland to sell, but the crazy postage, and An Post fees, are going to make them difficult to sell. Plus, only one has arrived.

Aside from that, those two on eBay with sound chips will work out great value for a UK buyer, or an Irish buyer who has a friend with a UK address.

I wonder when or if the PO and customs will ever get their act together. Ridiculous.

I am happy to publicly post that I will go out of my way to disobey the rules on these issues - due to their disarray and nonsense - by having stuff posted to all sorts of addresses outside the jurisdiction where I can get them at some future stage without paying €129 in charges for something worth €2.
