ttc0169 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Delighted to see Connolly station finished Paul-and more so to the large variety of stock that will be passing through, You certainly have a winner there and I would expect a first place prize for your efforts at any exhibition that you attend in the future, I'll look forward now to you building Heuston station in the future-complete with the Luas. Noel Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 In any scale that that would be excellent, but in 'N' it is even more impressive. Congrats on completion. Hope you enjoy many years operating it. Quote
The Derry Road Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Great achievement on your stunning layout, can't wait to see this on the exhibition circuit. TDR Quote
BosKonay Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Staggeringly good is simply an understatement! Quote
MikeO Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Very well done. An inspiration to all modellers but especially N scale modellers. Something we can all aspire to. I hope you can take the layout to at least one exhibition. Would love to see it as well as all the rolling stock. MikeO Quote
Weshty Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 The work on the redbrick building is amazing. Particularly the circular window brickwork. And all in N!! Top, top class. Quote
Broithe Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I wonder if this thread should have an advisory warning from the mods? Some people could find it a bit dispiriting.... I wonder if driver 301 is an eye surgeon in real life? This is well beyond merely impressive. Quote
Barl Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Fantastic layout and the level of detail is excellent! It might encourage more people to try model Irish railways in N when they see what you've achieved. Quote
murrayec Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Hi Driver301 Beautifully done Driver, it's an excellent layout, a visual feast for the spectator of model rail- the massing of the buildings behind the platform pulls the eye in deeper to the platform and then one finds the view into the subway... excellent, we're in it! I hope your going to be at Blackrock, to see it in the flesh and operating, hopefully we can run the N DART on it? Eoin Quote
driver301 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Folks, Many thanks for all of the compliments about the layout. It means a lot when they come from fellow modellers. I plan to exhibit the layout next year & it will make its debut in Wexford at Easter. In the meantime I will try get my hands on one of murrayec's LHB Dart units & get some stock built. In the pipeline are: A refurbished enterprise set. Green Goddess 29000 unit Japanese Dart unit I plan to post updates/pictures of these projects as they progress. Many thanks again Quote
