2016 and I'm cutting up part of the layout.

But it's for a good cause.

This is a Dawson Hall kit for Antrim Signal Cabin done in UTA colours.

The roof is still detachable at this stage as I want to detail the interior.

Meanwhile at a different time and location a Woolwich K1 is heading for Clonmel with some Fuel Oil.

Cattle Movements on Kirley Junction.

After Fair Day Cattle were moved to a nearby Cattle Pens for loading.

Across the level Crossing just before Kirley Junction Station.

Enters the Station in very bright sunshine, sorry for the poor picture quality.

Passengers starting to notice the 'aroma' wafting down the platform.

They are wondering how long will it take to pass through the Station.

Isn't it incredible. By FAR the heaviest goods traffic ever on Irish railways, and one of the main reasons some lines were built, and this is the first time I've ever seen it accurately modelled!

Any modelled rural Irish station is incomplete to an inaccurate level without a cattle dock...... the single most neglected part of modelling.

Why?

Top marks, thus, to Kirley - looks fantastic.

Nice work, Kirley!

Not sure about that claim, JB. Most layouts I've seen which are based on the time period where cattle traffic existed do have cattle banks...
