This is a Dawson Hall kit for Antrim Signal Cabin done in UTA colours. The roof is still detachable at this stage as I want to detail the interior. Ex S2 Class GNR 192,now UTA 63 backs onto the Cattle Wagons. Movement out of the siding. Across the level Crossing just before Kirley Junction Station. Enters the Station in very bright sunshine, sorry for the poor picture quality. Passengers starting to notice the 'aroma' wafting down the platform. By FAR the heaviest goods traffic ever on Irish railways, and one of the main reasons some lines were built, and this is the first time I've ever seen it accurately modelled! Any modelled rural Irish station is incomplete to an inaccurate level without a cattle dock...... the single most neglected part of modelling. Why? Top marks, thus, to Kirley - looks fantastic. Most layouts I've seen which are based on the time period where cattle traffic existed do have cattle banks... Unless, of course, it's modelle on a suburban halt, or "modern image" ie surrounded by day glo people, security fencing, bus shelter stations, weeds and graffiti!
