RedRich Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Very nice Noel. I see you added the black on the sides, builders plates, and painted the exhaust silver. It makes a huge difference. Top marks. Rich, Quote
rebelred Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Looking well in the blue Noel, it's a tight squeeze down in that Loco shed now!!! Quote
heirflick Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 ...that's the pic for me Noel...the only livery that should be on the railway! 208 looks stunning.....tempted.....really tempted! Quote
ttc0169 Posted October 21, 2014 Author Posted October 21, 2014 Thanks lads, Yes Rich after a few modifications it certainly has improved the overall look of the loco, Here is another photo this time a comparison of the blue liveries on 8113 and 208 Quote
heirflick Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 hard to tell if there is any difference in the pics - what are they like in the flesh? Quote
Noel Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Wow, fabulous photos. I missed the originals when posted two weeks ago. You have greatly improved the look of the NIR 208. Love the load loader idea. Just brilliant. Wow again - GM Central HQ - What an amazing and huge fleet of MM GMs Quote
Railer Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Great job on 208, if only it came out of the box like that. Love to have a go on my own but I don't have a steady hand. You need to get 233 up on the lowloader, the prototype is well used to it. Edited October 21, 2014 by Railer Quote
enniscorthyman Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 The two NIR GMs look well together in blue. Quote
ttc0169 Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 NIR loco 208 entered traffic this evening hauling a mixed 12 wagon pallet/bubble cement liner 208 rounds the bend while working the two axle cement liner. Quote
ttc0169 Posted October 30, 2014 Author Posted October 30, 2014 208 is seen here shunting the cement liner-having placed three cement bubble wagons under the silo for unloading Quote

ttc0169 Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks gents-I'm looking forward to adding the SSM 42' flat wagons to the collection in the near future. Quote
ttc0169 Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Evening lads, Another recent addition to the Tara jctn 201 locomotive fleet sees Enterprise liveried loco 230 join the other Enterprise locos 8208,209,227 and 233 at the MPD After a bit of weathering I noticed from photos that I have of the real 230 there were a few noticeable features namely one of the side grilles had been replaced-but not repainted,so I've recreated this with a grey grill at the cab 2 end, Also at the same end the electrification badge over the cab windows had been removed-or fallen off revealing the original orange livery beneath...again something different. Thank you to Seamus Graham for supplying the loco 230 runs light engine through Tara Jctn station en route to replace 209 off the De Dietrich Entrrprise set. Quote
Noel Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Looks great. Do you do your own weathering? Quote
ttc0169 Posted November 7, 2014 Author Posted November 7, 2014 Looks great. Do you do your own weathering? Yes Noel,I have done most of weathering of the locos and rolling stock myself except loco 229 which Seamus Graham done for me. Quote
heirflick Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 ya lucky git noel! great detail on her:tumbsup: Quote
Broithe Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The staff figure on the platform is particularly excellent - what's the source? Quote
ttc0169 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 The staff figure on the platform is particularly excellent - what's the source? They are from the Bachmann scene craft station figure range Brothie. Quote
Railer Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Great job on 230, it's right scruffy beast. One thing I'm trying to work out for weathering is the grills at the silencer end no1 end. On all the Enterprise locos these seem to be black even ex works but not sure, I know the grills each side on the number 2 end are same colour as the livery in ex works condition. Quote
