That layout is as good in real life as it looks here! The last three of us standing emerged from Heuston station this evening suitably guinnessed and Tara Junctionned.... Never knew Tubbercurry had such great night life!

Thank you very much Jhb for your kind comments about the layout,

It was a great pleasure to have you and the lads view and operate Tara Jctn-look forward to the next time for more driver training runs and afterwards at the local for more of your priceless stories and memories...and Guinness...!!!

An excellent evening in excellent company; Messrs josefstadt and ttc, plus two other readers of this forum. This morning's visit to Tara Junction was the highlight. Very many thanks again, ttc!

That's the money shot for me, superb!

Sorry that I missed the second half of the trip - especially the driver training at Tara Junction!

Afternoon gents,a Sunday afternoon on the junction sees various 141/181,071 locos stable on the MPD until their next turn of duty, From the left we have CIE 084,088,IE187,behind that IR 080,IE 146 and CIE 161. image-1454990528.jpg

Some overnight signal replacement also took place,

The original signal TJ 50 has been replaced by twin signals to control movements from the bay platform and the new platform loop road,

Loco 073 is seen here passing the new signal TJ 60 and TJ 61 while exiting from the platform with a stopping service formed by a Mk3 set.

Working signals whether semaphore or light always add a great extra dimension of reality to a layout.

One of the unique things at Tara Junction is seeing a carriage going round with a model of "The Wanderer", camera in hand, standing at an open door window in one vestibule of a Craven!

Evening gents, thank you for all your kind comments,

I have uploaded a video of the MPV 100 to my YouTube channel,

However in the meantime 0117080 is seen here hauling failed 0117076 out of the siding at the station before running around and hauling it for attention to the MPD.

Finally getting some work done on the MPD,

With thanks to baseboard Dave for supplying the tower lights-they are superb,

The concrete effect is made from card and suitably weathered with weathering powders,

215,216,222 and 230 are seen here testing the new sidings.
