Finally, they're here. There was a hiccup during the customs payment but thankfully things resolved themselves and now these coaches are mine. Now I just need to pick up something that could run them!

Enjoy them!

You should have picked up a 00 Works J15 when they were on sale!

HE HAS ONE OF NO. 125 AND NO.146 REMAINING

These are very nice models. I only got a couple (B&T van and light green brake 2nd) and am sort of regretting that I didn't go for more. They arrived two weeks ago but being away with my work has meant that I have only recently been able to fit Kadees and add a few passengers to the brake. They run nicely, though admittedly my test track and the layout under construction don't have many or tight curves. The centre wheels are pretty easy to land on the track. To get the roof off, all I had to do was run a fingernail along the join between roof and bodyside and then it was straightforward to lift the roof up and off.

Must weather the B&T van a bit, but it looks pretty good behind 190 and a Cravens as it is.

Can't see anything on the Website that suggest the numbers? Weird, I don't want to end up with Duplicates.

This was the original idea which I was told would happen, weeks only before Hattons expired.

I ordered one of everything bar the 4-coach set. The idea initially discussed was that some might just buy the set, but if they wanted another third, another van, or another anything, they’d get a different vehicle number.

If someone has the 4-coach set, pist up the vehicle numbers and I will check if they’re the same.

The numbers are, all 3rd 439 & 454, 1st/3rd 541, 3rd/Guard 98. (not easy to read and I'm nearsighted)

As I recollect at the point of ordering I was satisfied that the running numbers of the four coach set did not duplicate the numbers of those sold singly.

Same. I don't order duplicates any more, preferring to wait for a re-run. I would have also checked the running numbers before pulling the trigger and I ordered the box set and all the individual ones except the B&T which is out of era for me. Mine are sitting in the post office back home waiting for me to return and pay the vat.

When I supplied the historical info to Hattons for these, I sent them a list of several alternative numbers for each vehicle type. With their demise nbow, and not having ordered a set of 4, I was therefore unsure whether they had actually used them all or not.

Remember you have limited time to pay the VAT or the parcel is returned to sender.   You can pay VAT on line at www.anpost.ie

Cheers Colin but home is Germany for me. Having said that they also return them to sender after a week and we have no nice option to pay online like An Post. Cash at the door or they take them to the local post office for you to collect yourself. An Post is way more customer orientated in this regard.

Love the Genesis coaches but they are noticeably smaller compared to more specific Irish stock, as can be seen in @Jarl’s bottom photo above.  Mixing them with other vehicles might not look right……

I shouldn't worry about that much. I haven't got access to my books here but after a bit of googling, found an image of 2 x 6 wheelers and bogie stock and there's a significant height difference between the two.
