Also quite sure that @jhb171achill told me that one of the Hornby liveries is a dead ringer for an Irish livery.

LNWR or LSBCR maybe?

Expand

There are two, potentially.

The LNWR livery is well within the “two foot rule” for DNGR livery. The LMS is suitable, albeit with some amendments, for GSR livery.

Just wondering about the lighting kits that Hattons were supplying as well.  Anyone got any info about what Rails are doing there?

Expand

I assumed Rails were fulfilling the lighting packs order as well. Can anyone confirm either way?

Has anyone gotten a Rails of Sheffield order posted to the republic recently? Do Rails subtract the UK VAT and then An Post charges the EU VAT plus their handling fee?

My understanding is that there won’t be a second run, unfortunately.

That is a shame, as I am sure they would be very popular, not only with the Irish modeller but also in the UK.

I guess there must have been 9 different body shells which for this one run could not have paid for themselves

They would have just done a run of their existing body shapes in Irish liveries…

Me too.

Six green things en route.

I did order one BnT van - are they doing those - I hope that they haven't forgotten them. I wanted it for my parcel /newspaper train (first train from Dublin through Portadown Jct each day! Must check my origiinal order! Ah, wrong, I ordered two GREEN full brakes (No.18), but they've only included one - so I've asked for it!

My recent Rails' orders did have UK VAT deducted, and I paid Irish VAT to An Post

You know what they say you can't keep a good man down, well according to a thread on RM web a well-known Model Railway Company which may or may not be from this parish, appears to have acquired the moulds of the above, said coaches.

Personally, if it is so, then all the more power to your elbow, as I can see it, being a bloody good fit for said company profile, I just need to be a bit patient until the official announcement is made. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃

Not yet received an invoice, hope I'm not alone.... 😳

You're not. I've yet to receive mine. Their email said to wait until the 20th before getting in touch - it sounded like its a busy week for them ....

🤔

... I'd say they must be over at the ploughing trying to figure out how much of a margin Mark's Models are getting on the John Deere and Massey Ferguson models! 🤪🚜

Edit: The 'ploughing', for those across the water (and maybe the more remote parts of Dublin), is one of the biggest outdoor events in Europe - north of 200,000 people will attend the 'National Ploughing Championships' this week: more here

I had ordered a BnT one too - but it doesn't appear within my order.
