Warbonnet
Some components look a little tank engine like to me... That chimney and dome dont look like they belong to the rest of that kit at least!
DiveController
Very interesting minister. I posted this in case it was of interest to any of the collectors on the site. I do not have any proficiency in determining whether this is genuine. I will leave that to you guys:D
DiveController
This sold pretty cheaply for a 111. Hope one of you got a deal!

DiveController
Yes, I think it is but it depends on who wants one and how soon. This is not the worst I've seen and they're becoming more scarce, I think. If it's mint it not that bad unless you're a collector ,I guess. Technically all the mint locos sold on here are secondhand too...

Glenderg
Given one of Model railways' urban myths is that at Colin Massingham's funeral the lid didnt fit on the coffin its a fair bet that the kit is a pile of "merde" as they say across the channel. He made the MTK stuff.

Horsetan
LOL. eBay rubbish is always amusing! "Gosturde" (his real name is Greg Diffen, he originates from Australia, and he owns and runs a big collection of American Studebaker cars) is infamous for the hilariously unrealistic price tags that he places on almost all of his stock. There's some real sh*te that he's been demanding over top dollar for - hence he's been stuck with them for years. See also "micmcn" of Cartmel, whose asking prices are also unreal. minister_for_hardship
There was a silver A class in a glass case in NRM York last time I was there and a WAGR X class with some paint damage and bits missing popped up on ebay some time ago. All on presentation plinths and think they were same scale and all.
minister_for_hardship
Possibly commissioned by Metrovick as a boardroom ornament for CIE or for publicity purposes. Commissioned by AEI (holding company for MetroVick, the MetroVick brand ceased to exist in 1960), most likely to show off their portfolio to potential clients? Weshty
Is this the same A class that sold on ebay about 2 years ago? It was right beside my stand in Cultra in 2012. Fabulous looking beast. The detail was amazing.

A birdie informed me that a presentation A class was purchased in the uk and brought back here, whether it was the NRM one I was looking at that was sold off surplus to requirements or a duplicate I don't know. Fabulous looking beast. The detail was amazing. This one is a C class, Weshty... Didn't that A class turn up on the IRRS stand at some of the exhibitions, too? Or is that a different model?
