DJ Dangerous Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Rails of Sheffield are offering a massive 20% at their eBay store! You need to enter the LEAP20 code at the checkout. Only valid for the next three days. No use to me because of the double-taxation, but may be of use to some on here. 1 Quote

Irishswissernie Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I am resisting the temptation to buy a Terrier! The Rails write up about the history of the class with regard to the Great Western Railway is a load of 'bullshxt' . The locos were an LBSC design most of which were sold off to industry , small minor railways and in WW1 some were used by the Government. The Southern Railway inherited the residue. Only 2 ended up on Great Western Railway taken over from the Weston Cleveland and Portishead Railway. They would have been hard stretched to have been seen across the Great Western Railway ,network. One was scrapped in 1948 and the other in 1954. 1 1 3 Quote

Georgeconna Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I have one I ordered from Ellis Tains in SR livery, Was not advertised as sound but when it arrived hey presto it was a sound equipped loco. Very nice runner and recommended for a little shunting layout. Should of picked up a sound B4 when hattons were closing to add to the stable but timing was not right. 3 Quote
Galteemore Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Those Terriers make O gauge so accessible - relatively inexpensive and well suited to a small layout. That’s how the 7mm bug bit with me and started off my first layout…… 3 Quote

DJ Dangerous Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Rails of Sheffield have a lot of O Gauge stock on offer the last few months: https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/bargains?tags_scale_vsofeb5rx8ncvkx4f1i9n6kd=O-Gauge I'm not a fan of the 52's nor 58's, but you can't complain about those prices. A Stroudley coach or three would be nice for anybody on the fence over the half price Terriers. Quote
