    • Cannot check for cab photo as IRRS Flickr site is closed for editing at the moment. Its possible the ex-WLWR goods locos were fitted with screw reverse following the GSWR takeover if not earlier.  Both the GSWR and Midland fitted their standard locos with screw reversers, the exception among the larger(500 route miles+)  Irish companies was the Great Northern who fitted lever revers to their goods locos and screw to The National Railway Museum in York may have the General Arrangement drawings for the Kitson built 0-6-0 locos   https://archives.sciencemuseumgroup.ac.uk/Details/archive/110073714 and Glasgow Transport Museum photos/drawings of the Dubs built 0-6-0s in the North British collection. Might be worth while checking out the type of reverser fitted to the Great Central Pom-Pom LNER J11 Robinsons 1st 0-6-0 design after he left Ireland the WLWR.

The retro-liveried pair were photographed at Kishyquirk outside Killonan Jct. Later in the day we see the new footbridge at Banteer and the 1705 Tralee - Cork passing Rathcoole. • Locos of the GS&WR mentions that they were used on the fast fish specials from Fenit for which screw reverse would be more useful. The resources  section has a copy of the "Engineer" drawing of Robinson's 240 which shows the Screw Reverse nicely. Rob
    • Andy , for shunting engines I'd agree, WR Panniers etc; but look at the position of the reach rod from the cab to the motion behind the splasher. At that angle I think screw reverse is very probable because the pin joints to make the mechanism work would mean a reversing lever handle and catch taller than a man. I think something like a spoked wheel as on an L&Y A class 0-6-0. Mike
