RedRich Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Thanks very much Gareth for clarifying that. It needed to be clarified by yourself, Seamus, or Dave as you are the people that would be able to make people aware of the release program. Dave Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Will the sound decoders and speakers be on sale in Raheny? Quote
djkonore Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 I believe the speaker is already incorporated into the design, you'll only need a sound chip. That's what I've been told anyway. It's located under the roof grill. Quote
BosKonay Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yes, the speaker is pre-fitted - apparently it's a lovely bass reflex jobbie too! Quote
Marks Models Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 The Murphy Models standard decoder should be available in Raheny but the sound decoder is not quite ready yet we beleive. Murphy models will be present demonstrating a pre-production sound decoder. Mark Quote
heirflick Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Yes, the speaker is pre-fitted - apparently it's a lovely bass reflex jobbie too! so literally we just drop in the sound chip and thats it? Quote
djkonore Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I think the Belfast Model Shop have a sound decoder for an 071, probably ready right now. It's most likely a Zimo. I'm sure I saw a demo video of it somewhere in a black non-painted prototype 071 Quote

Dave Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 It sounds the nuts, I'm getting one to go on the freight version Quote
WRENNEIRE Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Good news is #071 & #082 have cleared customs. Bad news is #112 is 2 days late arriving(slow boat FROM China?). But there will be stock of all 3 locos for the show,. Please note there is a sales embargo until noon on Saturday, when the class 071 will be officially launched at the show.. We also expect to have Cl.071 DCC chips available. Quote
Broithe Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 On my other Forum, I've just been complaining that the Christmas lights were on in our town last night - somehow, it doesn't seem so out-of-place now.. Quote
RedRich Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 The launching of the models at the show is a great idea. It will make for one memorable show. Rich, Quote
irishrail123 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 The launch of the 201 was very good, but i am sure this one will be even better! Looking forward to get them and let them pull some beet cravens etc :-) Quote
NIRCLASS80 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 For NIR 2 days late is still within "The Passengers Charter" targets for ontime performance! Quote
enniscorthyman Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Oh I have waited so long for this Weekend, and levels of happyness are gathering a pace. Quote

RedRich Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I think the model will fulfill a lot of peoples dreams as it was always at the top of a lot of peoples list's for their favorite Irish mainline diesel loco. Rich, Quote
